Manufactured by Montage PhotoTech, the FR2 Enhanced features many technical breakthroughs. The FR2 Enhanced digital film recorder is the only entry level film recorder that offers a collection of different camera backs to fit your needs. RasterPlus®, the FR2's new PC imaging software, based on a multitasking PostScript® Level II print engine, optimizes the FR2 Enhanced and provides compatablity with the Windows 95®, Windows 98®, Windows NT®, and Windows 2000® operating systems. RasterPlus provides you with a variety of other cutting-edge capabilities such as the ability to image files created on remote PC's, Apple Macintosh®, or Sun® workstations interfaced with a host PC running Windows 95, Windows 98 or Windows NT 4.0. In addition, RasterPlus supports most PC, Mac and Web graphics file formats including virtually all forms of PostScript, PDF, EPS, Macintosh PICT, TIFF .
Functionality Across Platforms Of course, the FR2 Enhanced delivers multi-platform operability and runs efficiently with Macintosh and Macintosh clone systems with RasterPlus for Macintosh®. Like RasterPlus95, RasterPlus for Macintosh rasterizes image files from Macintosh systems and supports PostScript, EPS, PICT, TIFF, GIF, JPEG and Scrapbook file formats.

Like its predecessor, the award-winning FR2, the FR2 Enhanced's ability to deliver smooth graphics is optimized by Speedbufferª technology that allows it to regulate imaging speed to match the rate that data is received. The result? High-quality, 36-bit color slides and negatives with up to 68 billion colors. Even the most-detailed graphics rendered at peak speed appear smooth and sharp through the vastly improved CRT of the FR2 Enhanced.
