Whilst we would hope that the vast majority of cases would fall within the scales provided we appreciate that there will be cases which will fall outside these scales. Cases which exceed 1 day will incur a brief fee for the first day and a refresher fee for each subsequent day the case runs. Fees for cases with a time estimate in excess of 2 days will be agreed on a case by case basis. We have highlighted the mid-point in each scale which would be our normal starting point in negotiating a fee. For more straightforward cases the fee will range from the Low to the Mid, for more complex from the Mid to the High. Fees for conferences and written advices can vary greatly depending on what stage counsel is instructed and what advice is sought, we have provided indicative fees as a guide. Finance FDA includes any other hearing of up to half a day in length. FDR includes any other hearing of up to one day in length. Children Fees are quoted based on estimated length of hearing. Where a case substantially overruns this estimate we may need to revisit the fee.
