Information contained herein is subject to change without notice. Updating Device Software Device software can be updated via the C-NET Manager or via Console. Before updating your device make sure the following things: 1. Go to start >> control panel >> Network connection. 2. Right click on the network icon and choose properties. 3. Stand on the TCP/IP protocol and click properties. A. Your computer initial IP should match the E-Port initial IP. B. Your computer Subnet Mask is class A (255.0.0.0). C. There is no DMX Protocol transmission from your Console/PC. a. If using a PC it is better and easier to close the Vector Pc program, and it will disable any DMX Broadcasting. b. If using a console i. Go to Tools >> Setting >> DMX Protocol. ii. Make sure DMX on Ethernet buttons are not pressed. To update device software via C-NET Manager: When using this manager it will apply only the selected device. Note: This is the recommended method to update the device as it gives you the most details and option about this action. 1. From the Net Modules pane select a device to update. 2. From the Configuration screen click on the Update Software button. The Open dialog box will open to the default software location. You may need to browse to a different folder if your software version is not located in the default location. 3. From the Open dialog box double click on the device folder. 4. Select the new software version. 5. Click Open. The update will begin. A progress bar and update image will be displayed: Note: DMX transmission is temporarily disabled during update. When the update is complete, the current device status is displayed. To update device software via Vector application: When using this it will apply EVERY device on the network. There is no option to choose a specific device like in C-net Manager: Make sure to copy the update file in this location: C:\program files\Compulite\Vector Pc\Config\Updates 1. Connect the ePort to the console. 2. Click on tools >> choose Software Update. 3. Choose a file and click on open.
