M Measure ement Mode M W WARNI ING If the e LOW or HIGH H alarm activates, leave the contaminated c d area immediately; the ambient ga as concentra ation has re eached the preset LOW or HIGH alarm level. Failurre to follow this warning g will cause over-exposu ure to toxic gases and persons relyin ng on this pro oduct for the eir safety could sustain seerious personal injury or death.
On nce the SI-100 S enters into the Meas surement Mode, ga as will be co ontinuous sly monito ored and the readings upda ated on th he liquid crystal c display. As gas levels increasse, the co orresponding readi ng will re eflect the cu urrent gas s concenttrations. Th he instrum ment has two alarm m set points: • HIGH Ala arm • LOW Alarrm When the e gas concentratio ns drop below the e alarm sset points, the LO OW ① W . L LED will blink with LCD back klight, and relay LO OW alarm m will be activated a ② W When the e gas con ncentratio ons incre ease abov ve the al arm set points, the t H HIGH LED D will blink with LCD back klight, an nd relay HIGH ala arm will be a activated. ③ IIf the gas concentrations g go out of the me easureme nt range, Fault LE ED w will blink with back klight and d will have a 2mA analog si gnal outp put. A Also, the instrume ent will sh how “ove er” messa age and rrelay LOW W alarm will w b be activatted.

N NOTICE We re ecommend calibration c on nce every six x months, at least once a year. Senso or’s output going g down as time goe es by; meas surement errror will increa ase. Calibrration is cruc cial for the se ensor perforrmance and persons relyying on this prroduct for the eir safety.
10. Z Zero callibration mode e Toxic gas s sensor’s s Zero Ca alibration can be pe erformed by 2 way y; (1)Fres sh air caliibration (2) Nitrogen(N2) calibratio on
(1 1) Fresh air Calibration
W WARNI ING Do no ot Fresh Air Calibration C un nless you are certain you u are in freshh, uncon ntaminated air; a otherwise e, inaccurate readings can occur whicch can falselyy indicate th hat a hazard dous atmosp phere is safe e. If you havve any doubtts as to the quality q of the e surrounding air, do nott use the Freesh Air Calibrration featurre. The cali bration chec ck is required to verifyy span accuracy. Failure to follow th his warning can c result in n serious peersonal injury or death.

(2 2) Nitrog gen(N2) Calibration
W WARNI ING Nitrog gen Calibration must be e performed using a flow w regulator with a flow rate r set from m 0.2 to 0. 3 liters per minute; oth herwise, it ccan be seriou usly impair instrument p performance, wrong read dings could occur, and persons p relyin ng on this prroduct for the eir safety cou uld sustain sserious personal injury or death.
