Datasheet Flexible Integrated Billing and Invoice Management For Your Cloud Backup and Recovery Managed Service Asigra DS-Billing gives Managed Service Providers and corporate IT departments the ability to track and bill for actual backup and recovery services delivered. The complimentary billing module has been designed to easily and effortlessly automate the billing process for recurring revenue services with the flexibility to charge by stored data size, protected data size, native size or a simple flat fee for different data types. The billing module is integrated with Asigra Cloud Backup™ eliminating the need for a separate license. DS-Billing retrieves statistical information from DS-System and Backup Lifecycle Management (BLM) Archiver to calculate the backup and recovery managed service charges per customer. It accurately maintains the billing information based on the established billing rules, fees and agreements to automatically generate invoices or you can easily export billing information into Microsoft Excel or existing systems to tabulate and add extra line items for other services. The system enables you to extend payment options relating to terms and types to your customers by allowing them to pay their invoice using their preferred method of payment such as credit card, cheque or pre-authorized withdraw. Service Providers who go to market via a multi-tier reseller and distribution channel can allow “partners” to have dedicated pricing and discount tiers, as well as to determine their own pricing. The billing scale can be easily set up for each customer based on their preferences and business needs. Once the billing scale is established, service charges can be calculated based on protected data size, stored data size, native size, or a simple flat fee can be charged. Online, Backup Lifecycle Management (BLM), local-only, and recovery billing scales can also be included. Typically, a base fee is used, and additional fees are applied per GB of storage consumed. Additional services can also be charged, such as installations, LAN Storage Discovery, Disc/Tape requests, remote DS-VDR infrastructure cost, and remote DS-VDR ongoing maintenance charges. Once the billing cycle is established for each customer, the system can automatically calculate the charges, generate the invoice in PDF format and email the invoice to your customer according to your pre-determined billing schedule, the invoice can be automatically delivered via email or can be made available in the DS-NOC. Charge backs and budget quotas can be easily managed across your entire customer base. Whether you are a Service Provider with multiple customers or a corporate IT department servicing remote offices, multiple agencies or departments you have the flexibility to bill based on departmental capacity limits, spending limits, and/or capacity limits. The system can also issue quota notifications enabling you to enforce hard and soft quotas.
