FLEXISAFE MAINS POWER DISTRIBUTION UNITS with optional Transient Voltage Surge Suppression and Noise Filtering FlexiSafe is a unique cable management and power distribution system. The system allows you to configure a variable length strip to meet your particular requirements for mains power, telecom, data and signal distribution. FlexiSafe also provides transient surge and electrical noise protection for all distributed outlets. FEATURES = Power management The FlexiSafe range of Power Distribution Units (PDUs) offers a low cost and easy way to manage power distribution to connected loads. The PDUs can be powered directly from the mains supply or from some form of power protection device including an Uninterruptible Power System (UPS) or mains conditioner for additional peace of mind. = Transient Voltage Surge Suppressor (TVSS) Field research shows that this type of device dramatically reduces voice and data processing errors, costly PCB swap out and even total hardware failure. The TVSS module is a factory option built into the PDU. The module provides protection from transient voltage surges and spikes in the mains supply. These may be caused by local weather conditions or the powering on or shutdown of large electrical devices within industrial, office or home environments. When a surge voltage hits the TVSS module it is suppressed. The voltage supplied through the PDU is automatically reduced to levels more suitable for modern computer and telecom type loads. Built-in signal, data and telecoms line sockets are also protected. Using the TVSS module, the PDUs comply with BS6651 for zones A, B and C (medium). = Noise Filtering-Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) This additional circuit can be built into the TVSS module to provide protection from RFI and noise, both common and differentiated mode.
