FLEXIBLE VIDEO/AUDIO OR DATA CONFIGURATIONS
19” RACK-MOUNT AND INDOOR/OUTDOOR CONFIGURATIONS
HIGHLY VERSATILE MICROWAVE LINK AVAILABLE FOR OPERATION IN ALL FREQUENCY BANDS FOR DISTRIBUTION OR CONTRIBUTION FLV series microwave links are designed for digital point to point distribution of video, audio and associated communications channels for the professional broadcast market. Fully modular packaging with separate coding/modulation and transmit/receive sections allows for complete flexibility in the implementation of any connectivity requirement in any frequency band and the FLVseries is configurable by our experienced system engineers for all system designs from a simple STL/TSL to an entire multi-channel, nationwide backbone.
For complex systems, we recommend conventional rack mounting for all equipment with dehydrator and elliptical waveguide to the tower mounted antenna, but for basic simplex/duplex systems the RF section can be tower mounted behind the antenna for reduced cost, ease of installation and extra link margin. Standard modulation is single carrier QPSK with software upgrade options available to 8PSK, 16QAM and 64QAM or for links susceptible to multipath or ducting such as over water, DVB-T COFDM modulation can be specified with a Maximum Ratio Combining (MRC) demodulator.
Input/output interfaces are provided for analogue video and audio, digital SDI with embedded stereo audio channels or AES/EBU digital stereo pairs and an integral data multiplexer allows any number of video/audio channels to be combined in the ASI transport stream. In duplex configurations digital communications can be provided in addition to the main video and/or audio traffic. Typically 4 or 8 telephone channels including ring generation and dial/pulse ring detection and/or multiple Ethernet ports can be provided. Where required, FLV series microwave links can be comprehensively remote controlled and monitored via RS485, SNMP or Ethernet.
