Programme The programme of your visit will be as follows: 12.45 Meeting with the group at the main entrance 13:30 Arrival at the main entrance (Oude Waalsdorperweg 10) Registration and security check 13:45 Welcome Delegation proceeds through the Visitors Centre 14:30 Presentation on the Court and its current developments followed by Question and Answer 15:00 Attending a hearing (provided on-going in open session) Attending a hearing At the end of the programme of your information visit, you may attend an on-going hearing in the Public Gallery, provided it is in open session. In order to enter the Public Gallery, visitors must be at least 16 years of age. The schedule of the hearings is published on the ICC website and may be updated daily: http://bit.ly/2f3Fuv3. Please be informed that depending on the judicial process, the schedule may be subject to lastminute changes. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that you will be able to attend a hearing on the day of your visit. Audio and video recording and photography Filming, recording and photography inside the Court’s premises is strictly prohibited. The group leader is responsible of informing all participants of this matter. Visitors not abiding by the applicable rules may be subject to measures and sanctions, including expulsion and/or exclusion from the Court’s building. Dress We request that visitors take into consideration the fact that they are entering a court of law. Those attending a hearing are requested to dress suitably. Clothing that is deemed to be provocative, potentially disruptive, or that displays offensive insignia or images, is not permitted. The group leader is requested to provide a copy of these rules of decorum to all participants in the delegation. Cancellation Please be aware that in light of the judicial responsibilities of the Court, due to key judicial hearings or other unforeseen circumstances, we are sometimes obliged to cancel Information Visits at the last minute. The Court cannot accept any responsibility (financial or otherwise) in such cases. Should you wish to cancel your visit due to unforeseen circumstances, please inform us at your earliest convenience, as this will allow for other groups or individuals to join the information visit. Language The working languages of the Court are English and French and the information visits take place in these languages. ATTENTION: Late arrival on the day may result in cancellation of all or part of the visit. Further practical information regarding your visit can be found below: Parking The address of the Court is Oude Waalsdorperweg 10, The Hague. The entrance to the Visitors Parking is located on Van Alkemadelaan (see map below). The parking is located at about 5 minutes walking distance from the main entrance. Should you arrive by coach, your delegation can be dropped off in front of the main entrance. The coach cannot stay parked at the drop off area and should park at the Visitors Parking. A bicycle parking can be found on the plaza near the main entrance. Public transport From The Hague Central Station, bus 22 (direction Duinzigt) stops at Waalsdorperweg – a 20 minute bus ride. From The Hague Laan van NOI Station, bus 23 (direction Scheveningen Noorderstrand) stops at Bronovo Ziekenhuis – a 15 minute bus ride. Entering the Court We request that you report with Security at the indicated time in the programme above. The group leader is requested to proceed to the security officers in the entrance booth and announce the arrival of the group. Each member of your group will be required to present valid proof of identification (passport or identity card). Security officers will provide you with a visitor’s badge which you will be required to visibly wear throughout your visit. This badge allows you to enter the Public Areas of the Court; you will also need it in order to leave the Court at the end of your visit. Upon passing through the security check, a representative of the ICC’s Protocol, Events and Visits Unit will welcome you in the main hall for the programmed portion of your visit. Access for people with disabilities We kindly ask that people using a wheelchair or otherwise in need of assistance inform us in advance of their visit. This will allow us to prepare for your arrival and help gain access to the Court as efficiently as possible. Visitors’ restaurant A visitors’ restaurant is located in the public area of the Court where hot and cold drinks, snacks and sandwiches can be purchased. The external catering company also offers different options for lunches (hot and cold), for which prior reservation is needed.
