CHAUVET FOG MACHINE WITH MODULAR REMOTE OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 1) SETUP Place the fog machine on a stable surface, or hang it securely from a safe mounting. NEVER place the fog machine on any flammable material (carpet, etc.) during operation. All fog machines generate considerable heat. When placed on the floor, it should always be on a non-flammable surface such as concrete or tile. Keep out of reach of children and pets. 2) PREPARING FOG FLUID Use only the fog liquid purchased from Rental Depot. Fill the tank with undiluted fog liquid – never mix any other materials with the fog liquid. DO NOT allow the pump to run dry – do not operate the machine without liquid at any time. WARNING! Fog machines may set off smoke detectors, depending upon the amount of fog generated. Vapor from the fog fluid may be irritating to persons with allergenic sensitivity. DO NOT expose at close range to known asthmatics. Use in a well ventilated area. 3) MAKING FOG Now you’re ready to begin generating fog! Attach the power cord to the back of the machine and plug the other end into a grounded outlet. Turn the red rocker switch on the back of the machine to the “ON” position. Allow the machine to warm up for a few minutes. You may have to run a few bursts of fog to remove any water solution from the last user cleanup. Push the green “MANUAL FOG” button on the top of the machine to release bursts of fog. 4) USING THE MODULAR REMOTE The modular remote keypad is designed so that you don’t have to stay with the machine for the entire event. Press the red “POWER” button on the modular remote keypad. Adjust the duration and interval of the fog blasts with the rotating dials, and press the yellow “TIMER” button. You can also use the green “MANUAL” button on the modular remote keypad to release a burst of fog. The machine will not release fog if the fluid level is low (a red LED light will flash to warn you when the level is too low.) Add fluid to continue operation. 5) CLEANUP Just a few minutes work can save you from cleaning charges later on! Run the machine until the fog fluid tank is almost empty. Remember, DO NOT allow the pump to run dry! Add distilled water (not tap water) and run this through the system to clean out any particulate buildup. When the tank is almost empty, turn off the power to the modular remote keypad, and then flip the main power switch to the “OFF” position. Allow the machine to cool completely down before removing from its mounting or surface. Wipe the outside surface of the machine with a damp cloth.
