What is an EHF? The cost of recycling electronic waste material through EPRA Manitoba is funded by an Environmental Handling Fee (EHF) collected on the purchase of new electronic equipment. The EHF reflects the actual cost to recycle materials in the product. The fee is not a tax and not a refundable deposit.

The Electronic Products Recycling Association Manitoba (EPRA Manitoba) is a non-profit industry-led stewardship program dedicated to upholding high standards for the recycling of end-of-life electronics and providing secure, convenient recycling options throughout Manitoba.
The following electronic equipment is accepted for recycling by all EPRA Manitoba certified collectors.
Desktop Computers Includes CPU “Tower”, as well as all “Peripherals” such as Keyboards, Cables and Mice.
Non-Cellular Telephones and Answering Machines Corded and Cordless Phones, Digital and Cassette Answering Machines.
Portable Computers Includes Laptop and Tablet types, as well as Notebooks and Netbooks.
Home Theatre in a Box (HTB) Audio and Video Equipment packaged as a complete system intended to provide an ‘In-Home’ Theatre experience, including speakers, Sub-Woofers and all associated Cables.
Desktop Printers, Scanners and Fax Machines Includes camera dock printers; and label, barcode, card printers, desktop fax machines, desktop scanners including: business card scanners; cheque scanners; and photo negative scanners. Display Devices (TV's/Monitors) Includes CRT, Flat Panel (Plasma or LCD) or Rear Projection. Home Audio/Video Playback and Recording Systems Includes VCR’s, DVD’s, Blu Ray, Laser Disk, Turntables, PVR’s, DVR’s, CD, Amplifiers, Receivers , Radios, Cable and Satellite TV Equipment (dishes excluded). Vehicle Audio & Video Systems Aftermarket Equipment intended to replace or supplement Factory-Installed Systemsor Components.
Personal/Portable Playback and Recording Systems Includes Portable DVD’s, Blu Ray, Laser Disk, CD, MP3, Portable Stereos/Tape Players/Radios, Voice Recorders, Digital Frames, Analog and Digital Cameras and Video Cameras/Camcorders, Non-Cellular Enabled PDA’s and also includes accessories including Headphones and Microphones. Counter Top Microwave Ovens Includes microwaves less than 2.2 cubic feet. May include microwave ovens from hotel rooms or restaurant units similar in chassis type to household type units.
