In essence an IP solution consists of IP cameras (internal or external use) that are directly connected to the customer’s network points, linked back via the network switches and optionally to broadband. Wildings Education Systems were recently asked by a local school (personal referral from school available on request) to take on the £50,000 plus task of upgrading the schools complete network infrastructure, incorporating a 10Gbps backbone. From the early feasibility and design stages, Wildings worked with the school’s ICT team to build a solution that met their requirements. This led to the installation of new network cabinets and data cabling, configuration and installation of HP FlexFabric and 2900 series stackable switches, upgrades to server network interface cards and full testing of the whole network upon completion.
