FLOOR CLEANING ASSEMBLING THE LUX sora Connecting the electrical hose Attach the electrical hose to the socket of the LUX sora until it can be heard to click into place. Note the electrical interface, since the electrical hose can only be assembled in one position. The hose is connected to the LUX sora by means of a 360 degree joint. This joint allows easy vacuuming around the vacuum cleaner. To detach the electrical hose, press the two release buttons and lift off the electrical hose.
Connecting the electrical tube Insert the electrical tube into the handle socket until it can be heard to click into place. To detach the electrical tube, press the release button on the handle and pull out the electrical tube. Please note The LUX sora can only be used with its electrical hose, not with any hose of previous Lux models.
Connecting the floor nozzle Insert the electrical tube into the joint nozzle of the floor nozzle until it can be heard to click into place. Both devices are now ready for operation. To detach the floor nozzle, press the release button on the electrical tube and pull it out.
Switching plates The floor nozzle comprises of two plates; the bristle plate for hard floors and the carpet plate for carpets and rugs. To switch the plates, press the clip on the lower part of the plate and lift it off. Fit the required plate and press the clip until it can be heard to click into place.
Connecting to the mains Extend the power cord and connect the electrical plug to the mains. Note the red mark indicating the end of the cord. To rewind the cord, slightly pull it back (2.5 cm) and release it. The cord will rewind automatically.
Switching on and off After your LUX sora has been connected to the mains, the green ready-for-operation light on the appliance will illuminate. The LUX sora is switched on and off by means of the sliding switch on the handle. Select the desired performance setting between “A and 3”. Performance setting “A” is an automatic function designed for the EB360 accessory. On level “A”, the LUX sora will automatically adjust its suction power to the surface conditions. It is mainly meant for loose rugs and carpets.

WORKING WITH THE LUX sora The floor nozzle is suitable for cleaning hard floors, waxed floors, parquet or ceramic tiles. It has a flexible plate bristle, designed to handle hard-to-reach areas like corners, around furniture feet, under chairs and tight space.
The floor nozzle and the curved electrical tube are especially designed for conveniently vacuuming under furniture with reduced floor access.
The swiveling head allows to vacuum in tight corner and around any obstacles.
PARKING AND STORING Parking The LUX sora and the floor nozzle can stand on their own due to the ergonomically shaped electrical tube. Place the electrical tube in an upright position until the joint of the floor nozzle clicks into place. It is of importance that the electrical tube is leaning forward in a straight line, otherwise it could tip over. In the parking position, the LUX sora will remain at the performance level previously selected.
Carrying Use the hand grip on top of the appliance to carry the LUX sora around. Alternatively, carry the appliance using the recessed grip located at the bottom front of the appliance.
Storing Always store your LUX sora in a dry space at room temperature with the power switched off, the electrical plug disconnected and the power cord rewound. Put the appliance upright and attach the electrical tube as shown in the picture.

Mount the electrical hose on the outlet vent of the vacuum cleaner by means of the adaptor attached. The spray bottle is dispensed by closing the two pinholes on top of the main body. Close the holes by applying finger pressure on it. The amount and size distribution of the spray droplets can be adjusted by turning the ring in front of the nozzle.
Please note The blowing function cannot be regulated by the sliding switch on the handle. Once you remove the electrical hose from its outlet, the LUX sora starts automatically and runs on performance setting “3”.
For your safety: ! Do not use the spray bottle with corrosive or combustible liquids. ! Do not use the spray bottle while vacuuming. Only use the spray bottle in combination with the blowing adaptor attached to the outlet of the appliance. ! Always hold the spray bottle upright.
CHANGING THE FILTERS General note During care and maintenance of your LUX sora, always pay attention to the filter exchange indicator on the appliance hood. If you do not change the filters, in particular the filter bag, the LUX sora will no longer have its full suction power performance. Filter bag The filter exchange indicator on the LUX sora indicates the amount of dust content in the filter bag. If the indicator is completely yellow, the pores of the filter bag are blocked to such an extent that the bag has to be exchanged.
In order to change one of the various filters, pull the metal release handle and open the appliance hood.
Take out the full filter bag. Afterwards insert a new filter bag making sure that the holding plate fits into the respective recesses of the appliance. After closing the appliance hood, the filter exchange indicator is reset automatically. The display is not yellow anymore. Please note If no filter bag is inserted, the appliance hood cannot be closed. Always use Lux original filter bags to ensure optimum performance of your appliance.
Active odour filter The active odour filter is made of granular charcoal. Due to its immense surface structure this filter is capable of removing bad smells and odours resulting from decaying organic substances in the filter bag. At the same time, the active odour filter acts as a motor protection filter. In order to change the active odour filter, take out the filter bag first. Press the upper flap of the holding grid. Pull the grid out and remove the filter pad. Insert a new filter pad into the grid with the printing facing outwards. Push the grid back into its original position and hook in the upper flap. Re-insert the filter bag. When you have closed the hood, the appliance is ready for operation. After inserting the active odour filter has an effective life span of approximately one year, depending on use.
HEPA hygiene micro filter The HEPA hygiene micro filter collects the smallest dust particles. It is of particular importance for people who are allergic to household dust, but also prevention for non-allergic people. The HEPA hygiene micro filter ensures that the air exhausted is cleaner than the air in the room.
In order to change the HEPA hygiene micro filter, open the appliance hood and press the flap located at the side of the HEPA hygiene micro filter. When inserting the new HEPA hygiene micro filter, make sure the flap is facing towards the cable drum. Then close the hood. The appliance is now ready for operation. After inserting, the HEPA hygiene micro filter has an effective life span of one year, depending on usage. The HEPA hygiene micro filter and the active odour filter can be disposed with your household waste.
Dovina fragrance chip Press the Dovina fragrance chip on the plastic plate of the HEPA hygiene micro filter.
The seal of ultimate filtration The filter system of the LUX sora follows the regulations set by the German TÜV institute to be suitable for people with allergies. This means that the air exhausted from the LUX sora is cleaner than the air in the room.
MAINTENANCE For your safety !
The connections of the electrical hose (and electrical tube) may never be damp-cleaned. When stored, the hose should never be hung at only one point. Never fold sharply.
Cleaning the textile nozzle Pull the suction shoe off on one side. After cleaning, first reinsert the suction shoe into the rear edge and then press it lightly forwards until it snaps into place.
Cleaning the soft nozzle The soft nozzle has a washable bristle ring. Wash the bristle ring by hand in cold water with a little delicate detergent. Ensure that it is completely dry before vacuuming again.
