How many licenses do I need? LiteSpeed for SQL Server requires one license for each physical or virtual server requiring backup. There are no ‘per CPU’ or ‘per instance’ costs.
Does LiteSpeed for SQL Server provide reporting? LiteSpeed for SQL Server offers centralized reporting that allows administrators to review all backup and restore activity across the enterprise. What destinations can be used for backups? LiteSpeed for SQL supports backup to disk, direct-to-tape and to Tivoli Storage Manager.
Do I need LiteSpeed for SQL Server for restores? Backup archives can be stored as “Doubleclick Restore” archives. This packages the archive, all attached files and a restore engine in a single executable. No software needs to be installed on the destination server.
