FREESTANDING TUB FAUCET SET Before you begin, read the installation instructions below. Observe all local plumbing and building codes. Caution: Do not grab or hold on to faucet or risers for support. Unpack and inspect for any shipping damages. If any damage is found, contact Customer Service at 1-866-855-2284. If you need assistance while installing your new faucet set, call our Customer Service number. Your application and circumstances may call for variations to the installation instructions. We recommend consulting a professional if you are unfamiliar with installing bathroom fixtures and plumbing. For the following installation instructions for your new faucet set it is assumed that the water supply lines are in place underneath the floor and are directly accessible for installation
TOOLS AND MATERIALS: Adjustable Wrench Hacksaw
Damp Cloth Pipe Wrench
Screwdrivers (Phillips and Flat Head) Thread Sealant or Plumber’s Tape
FAUCET INSTALLATION 1. Thread the bell flanges (F), lock nuts (G), and rubber washers (H) onto the lower riser pipes (E). Insert the lower riser pipes into the installation holes in the finished floor. Note: Apply the supplied thread sealant to all threaded connections. Wipe away any excess sealant with a damp cloth. 2. Thread the metal washers (I), and locknuts (J) onto the lower riser pipes via the under the floor access space. Connect the lower riser pipes to the main water supply with the rubber washers (K) and NPT adapters (L). 3. Above the floor, apply thread sealant to the riser threads and connect the shutoff valves (D). Wipe away any excess sealant with a damp cloth. 4. Slide the slip nuts (B) up the upper riser pipes (C). 5. Wrap plumber's tape around the threads on the bottom of the upper riser pipes and thread into the shutoff valves.

6. Place the remaining rubber washers (A) in the slip nuts at the top of the supply pipes.

7. Close the shut-off valves and briefly turn on the main water supply to check for leaks. If leakage occurs, tighten the connections with an adjustable wrench as necessary. If problems persist, contact Customer Service. 8. Apply thread sealant to the outlets on the back of the faucet body. Attach the faucet to the upper riser pipes and tighten the slips nuts to secure. Allow sealant to cure for 24 hours before use. 9. Attach the hand shower hose and rubber washers to the shower cradle outlet and hand-held shower. Place the hand-held shower in the cradle. 10. Turn on the main water supply and open the shut-off valves. 11. To remove debris, turn the faucet on and allow the water to run through the spout for approximately 60 seconds. Divert the water to the hand shower hose and allow the water to flow for approximately 60 seconds. Check to make sure that all connections are tight.

DRAIN INSTALLATION Note: Because tubs vary in size, measure your space thoroughly before installation. Trim pipes accordingly to ensure a correct fit. Go to the Trimming Drain Pipes section for more information. 1. Apply thread sealant or plumber’s tape to the threads at each end of all pipes prior to installation. If two pipes arrive attached, be sure to take them apart and apply sealant before installing. 2. Connect the tub shoe assembly (A), and rubber washer to the tub drain (B). 3. Install the overflow assembly (C) with the beveled washer, overflow plate, mounting screw (provided) and any other washers or rubber sealing gaskets included. 4. Attach the waste and overflow tee (D) to the overflow assembly (C) and shoe assembly (A) with sealing washers and slip nuts. 5. Attach the drain tube and flange (E) to the waste and overflow tee (D) with the sealing washer and slip nut.

TRIMMING DRAIN PIPES 1. Connect the overflow and drain assemblies and pipes to the tub. 2. The T-connection will be attached at the points where the drain pipes intersect. Measure and mark each pipe so that the ends reach a little over halfway into the T-Connection hubs. 3. Trim the pipes as necessary with a hack saw with a blade that is suitable for cutting metal.
