Date: Saturday, 1st July 2017 110K Start: 00.00am (midnight Friday) from Rothay Park, Ambleside 110K Feed Station Check Points Leg 1 – “Moon rise over Garburn Pass” Ambleside to CP1 Kentmere Village Institute (NY456041) 12.4km (total : 12.4km) Cut Off Time : 110K – 03.00am The first check point is at Kentmere Village Institute and there are toilet facilities available. This first Feed Station will have a range of drinks and snacks : Flapjack, bananas, jelly babies, crisps, biscuits, drinking water, NUUN isotonic drink, tea and coffee Leg 2 – “Over Nan Bield Pass” Kentmere Village Institute to CP2 Mardale Head (NY469107) 9.82km (total : 22.22km) Cut Off Time : 110K – 05.30am The second check point is at Mardale Head Car Park, this is a tented check point and there are NO toilet facilities. This Feed Station will have a range of drinks and snacks : Flapjack, bananas, jelly babies, crisps, biscuits, drinking water, NUUN isotonic drink and flat coke Leg 3 – “Round Haweswater to the Breakfast of Champions” Mardale Head to CP3 Bampton Memorial Hall (NY517182) 12.96km (total : 35.18km) Cut Off Time : 110K - 08.00am The third check point is at Bampton Memorial Hall and there are toilet facilities available. This Feed Station will have porridge, soup, noodles, bacon butties along with a range of drinks and snacks : Flapjack, bananas, jelly babies, crisps, biscuits, drinking water, NUUN isotonic drink, flat coke, tea and coffee Leg 4 – “Over Askham Moor for a view of Ullswater” Bampton Memorial Hall to CP4 Howtown Bobbin Mill (NY444196) 14.95km (total : 50.13km) Cut Off Time : 110K – 11.00am The fourth check point is at Howtown Bobbin Mill and there are toilet facilities available. This Feed Station will have porridge, soup, noodles along with a range of drinks and snacks : Flapjack, bananas, jelly babies, crisps, biscuits, drinking water, NUUN isotonic drink, flat coke, tea and coffee Leg 5 – “Over Boredale Hause to Half Way House” - SPECTATOR POINT Howtown Bobbin Mill to CP5 Glenridding Parish Hall, Glenridding (NY385169) 9.93km (total : 60.06km) Cut Off Time : 110K – 13.00pm The fifth check point is at Glenridding Parish Hall in Glenridding and there are toilet facilities. Drop bags will be waiting for you here – please place any items you wish returning to Ambleside in your own Drop Bag. This Feed Station will have a range of drinks and snacks : Flapjack, bananas, jelly babies, crisps, salted peanuts, biscuits, drinking water, NUUN isotonic drink, flat coke, tea and coffee Leg 6 – “Over Grisedale Hause for a view of Thirlmere” Glenridding Parish Hall, Glenridding to CP6 Steel End Car Park (NY320130) 11.75km (total:71.81km) CP6 Cut Off Time : 110K – 15.30pm This sixth check point is at the United Utilities Steel End Car Park, just after Dunmail Raise and there are NO toilet facilities. This Feed Station will have a range of drinks and snacks : Flapjack, bananas, jelly babies, crisps, biscuits drinking water, NUUN isotonic drink and flat coke Leg 7 – “Borrowdale” Dunmail Raise to CP7 Borrowdale Institute, Rosthwaite (NY258148) 10.91km (total: 82.72km) CP7 Cut Off Time : 110K – 18.30pm The seventh check point is at Borrowdale Institute in Rosthwaite and there are toilet facilities available. Shoe Drop Bags will be waiting for you here – please place any items you wish returning to Ambleside in your own Drop Bag. This Feed Station will have a range of drinks and snacks : Flapjack, bananas, jelly babies, crisps, salted peanuts, biscuits, pizza, soup, drinking water, NUUN isotonic drink, flat coke, tea and coffee Leg 8 – “Over Stake Pass” CP8 (NY265088) Borrowdale Institute, Rosthwaite CP7, via Stake Pass CP8, to CP9 Langdale Primary School (NY321053) - SPECTATOR POINT 15.22km (total :97.94km) CP9 Cut Off DEPARTURE Time : 110K – 22.00pm The eighth check point (CP8) is a safety check point near the summit of Stake Pass. The ninth check point (CP9) is at Langdale Primary School, and there are toilet facilities available. This Feed Station will have a range of drinks, soups, sandwiches and snacks provided by the Ultimate Trails crew, along with : Flapjack, bananas, jelly babies, crisps, salted peanuts, biscuits, drinking water, NUUN isotonic drink, flat coke, tea and coffee Leg 9 – “Round Loughrigg Tarn then Up and Over to Finish” Langdale Primary School to FINISH Rothay Park, Ambleside 10.23km (total: 108.17km) FINISH Cut Off Time : 110K – 00.00am The final check point is at the finish line at Rothay Park, Ambleside. There are toilet facilities and hot showers available. Those finishing during daylight hours will be welcomed home by our MC / commentator. A hearty finisher's meal will be provided for all finishers, from The Green Canteen, along with your finisher's medal and T shirt. If you have special dietary requirements you can leave food drop bags with us at the Registration by 3.30pm on Friday at the latest. We will then try to get them to the check points for you. Please label your food drop bags clearly with the CP number and your name Date: Saturday, 1st July 2017 55K Start: 11.00am Rothay Park, Ambleside 55K Feed Station Check Points Leg 1 – “A Struggle to Kirkstone Pass” Ambleside to CP10 Kirkstone Pass (NY401081) 5.5km (total 5.5km) CP9 Cut Off Time : 55K – 12.45pm The first check point is at Kirkstone Pass and there are NO toilet facilities. This Feed Station will have a simple range of drinks and snacks : Bananas, jelly babies and drinking water Leg 2 – “Downhill to Brotherswater and on to Glenridding” - SPECTATOR POINT Kirkstone Pass to CP5 Glenridding Parish Hall, Glenridding (NY385169) 11.3km (total 16.8km) CP5 Cut Off Time : 55K – 15.00pm The second check point is at Glenridding Parish Hall in Glenridding and there are NO toilet facilities. This Feed Station will have a range of drinks and snacks : Flapjack, bananas, jelly babies, crisps, salted peanuts, biscuits, sandwiches, drinking water, NUUN isotonic drink, flat coke, tea and coffee Leg 3 – “The Big Climb of Grisedale Hause to the home of Gingerbread” SPECTATOR POINT Glenridding Parish Hall, Glenridding to CP11 Grasmere Sports Ground 12.5km (total 29.3km) CP10 Cut Off Time : 55K – 17.35pm The third check point is at Grasmere Sports Ground in Grasmere and there are toilet facilities available. This Feed Station will have a range of drinks and snacks : Flapjack, bananas, jelly babies, crisps, salted peanuts, biscuits, soup, noodles, drinking water, NUUN isotonic drink, flat coke, tea and coffee Leg 4 – “Over Silver Howe to Langdale” Grasmere to CP12 Langdale 8.05km (total 37.35km) CP11 Cut Off Times : 55K – 19.20pm The fourth check point is in the Langdale valley near the junction to Little Langdale and there are NO toilet facilities. This Feed Station will have a range of drinks and snacks : Flapjack, bananas, jelly babies, crisps, salted peanuts, biscuits, drinking water, NUUN isotonic drink and flat coke. Leg 5 – “Tour of Little Langdale” - SPECTATOR POINT Langdale to CP9 Langdale Primary School (NY321053) 10.61km (total 47.96km) CP9 Langdale Primary School DEPARTURE Cut Off Time : 55K – 22.00pm The fifth check point is at Langdale Primary School, and there are toilet facilities available. This Feed Station will have a range of drinks, soups, sandwiches and snacks provided by the Ultimate Trails crew, along with : Flapjack, bananas, jelly babies, crisps, salted peanuts, biscuits, drinking water, NUUN isotonic drink, flat coke, tea and coffee Leg 6 – “Round Loughrigg Tarn then Up and Over to FINISH” Langdale Primary School to FINISH Ambleside 10.23km (total 58.19km) FINISH Cut Off Time : 55K – 00.00am The final check point is at the finish line at Rothay Park, Ambleside. There are toilet facilities and hot showers available. Those finishing during daylight hours will be welcomed home by our MC / commentator.
