Front row center stage: CC 601 X-JET The CC 601 X-JET offers the perfect solution for the Audiophile home theater system. Utilizing the same technology as the other 600 series products including the new X-JET coaxial midrange / tweeter drive unit for precise dispersion control, perfect phase alignment and extended dynamic range. Perfect for larger rooms due to it’s controlled dispersion characteristics and extended dynamic range, the CC 601 X-JET center speaker is also suitable for smaller spaces which desire a very high degree of detail, imaging and clarity. The CC 601 X-JET provides a level of center speaker performance never before obtained within the home theater industry providing detail and clarity even in the most complex soundtracks.
Technical features and benefits •
Coaxial technology. The CC 601 X-JET features the all new coaxial X-JET midrange / tweeter using a unique combination of a flat aluminium honeycomb midrange diaphragm and a concentrically arranged JET ribbon tweeter. • The amplitude and phase of the sound waves run linear and frequencyindependent over the front solid angle of 180 degrees creating a true “point source” system. In comparison to conventional loudspeakers, point sources do not produce any phase rotation or uneven frequency response of the midrange/tweeter driver. This results in excellent and precise localization and imaging characteristics with optimized power and homogenous sound distribution in the listening environment. The 600 XJET series can be described as dynamic and detailed with depth and spaciousness over a broad listening area. • X-JET Coaxial technology. The “X JET” is a unique combination of a flat aluminium honeycomb midrange diaphragm and a concentrically arranged JET ribbon tweeter, providing exceptional detail and imaging to beyond 50kHz. • The ultra lightweight honeycomb diaphragm provides a reduced stray magnetic field. Perfect efficiency is provided by a 78 mm moving coil using edge-wound, coppered aluminium wire on a ventilated Capton bobbin.
• Woofer in aluminium sandwich design. Two ELAC aluminium sandwich diaphragm woofers with double rubber surround in asymmetrical design and 37 mm Capton bobbin for high efficiency offer precise, high level bass control to below 35 Hz. • Cabinet in cross-frame hybrid technology. Special Cross frame hybrid cabinet construction consists of a combination of extruded aluminium casting and MDF with internal tension rods. This new design concept offers optimized sound and avoids resonances. • Crossover network The crossover network is provided with high quality components, Van den Hul internal wiring and gold-plated WBT connectors and includes accommodations for Bi-wire connection. • • •
