Problem Nothing happens when I press the Vacuum/Seal button Air is not removed from the bag completely Bag loses vacuum after being sealed Solution Make sure the power cord is plugged in correctly. Test the electrical outlet by plugging in another appliance. Check to see if either the power cord or the plug is damaged. If they are, don’t attempt to start. The bag may not be completely sealed. To seal properly, the open end of the cut roll should be resting entirely inside vacuum channel area. The bag may have a hole. To test, seal the bag with some air in it, submerge in water, and apply pressure. If there are bubbles present this indicates a leak and a new bag should be used. This may be caused by a leakage due to wrinkles, crumbs, fats or liquids. Open the bag, clean the upper part and take any foreign matter off the sealing bar before trying to seal again. Make sure the bag is free of holes. If sealing foods with sharp edges, first line the bag with napkins or paper towels. The cause may be the sealing bar overheating or melting the bag. Open the lid and let the sealing bar cool down for several minutes. DO NOT overfill the bag: leave enough empty length at the open end of the bag so that it can be placed on the vacuuming plate easily. Ensure that the open end of the bag is not wet before sealing. Bags are not sealing correctly Ensure both locking clips are secure on either side (until they click). Ensure the end of the bag is inserted fully into the jaws of the sealer. Ensure the Vacuum Nozzle (see circled section in fig.3. on page 7) is not covered by the bag or food particles as this will block the vacuum function. Ensure the Vacuum Plate is the correct way up (see fig.3. on page 7). 9 FS_IM_G.indd 9 14/02/2017 09:44 Guarantee This product is unconditionally guaranteed for one year against all defects of workmanship and materials.
