For many years, exercise bikes have been equipped only with very simple user interfaces. Webike, which will add new dimensions to training and racing on exercise bikes, is finally available. Webike Home Edition brings training to a new level by providing you with a Personal Trainer, who will help you and support you in your daily training. The Webike Home Edition comes with a series of different racing modes which will encourage you to keep on training and improve your fitness. This exciting new game will allow you to improve your fitness and you will enjoy doing it! Using an exercise bike has never been this exciting before. Now it´s up to you to use it for better health and entertainment along the road! PRECAUTIONS Please read before using this game or allowing your children to use it. Precautions to Take During Use • Do not stand too close to the screen. Sit a good distance away from the screen. • You should avoid playing if you are tired or have not had much sleep. • Make sure that the room in which you are playing is well lit. Epilepsy Warning Some people are susceptible to epileptic seizures or loss of consciousness when exposed to certain flashing lights or light patterns. Such people may have a seizure while watching television images or playing certain computer games. This may happen even if the person has no medical history of epilepsy or has never had any epileptic seizures. If you or anyone in your family has ever had symptoms related to epilepsy (seizures or loss of consciousness), consult your doctor prior to playing. We advise that parents should monitor the use of computer games by their children. If you or your child experience any of the following symptoms: dizziness, blurred vision, eye or muscle twitches, loss of consciousness, disorientation,and any involuntary movement or convulsion while playing this game, discontinue use immediately and consult your doctor. Pregnancy and medical conditions Consult your doctor before playing this game if you are pregnant, suffer from heart, respiratory, back, joint or orthopaedic problems, have high blood pressure, or if your doctor has instructed you to restrict your physical activity or if you have any other medical condition that may be aggravated by physical activity. Repetitive motion injuries and eye strain Playing video games can make your muscle, joints, skin or eyes hurt. Follow these instructions to avoid problems such as tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, skin irritation or eye strain: • Avoid excessive play. Parents should monitor their children for appropriate play. • If you continue to have any of the above symptoms or other discomfort during or after play, stop playing and consult your doctor. GETTING STARTED SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Operating System: Windows® XP, Windows Vista®, Windows® 7 Processor: 2.00+ GHz Video Card: 256 MB DirectX® 9.0–compliant card with Shader Model 3.0 or higher Hard Drive Space: 1 GB INSTALLING THE GAME To install Webike Home Edition, follow these simple steps: 1. Insert the Webike Home Edition Installation CD into your CD-ROM drive. The Autorun menu should appear. If it does not, browse to your CD drive and double-click on the setup.exe file. 2. The installation wizard will walk you through the setup and installation process for the game. STARTING THE GAME To start the game, select Webike Home Edition/Webike Home Edition from your Start menu or double-click the Webike Home Edition shortcut on your desktop. UNINSTALLING THE GAME To uninstall Webike Home Edition, select Webike Home Edition/Uninstall from your Start menu. This will automatically uninstall all components of Webike Home Edition. FIRST TIME YOU START THE GAME The first time you use Webike Home Edition, you have to choose Profile and then create a new user. This will let you enter some personal details in order to distinguish you from other users of Webike Home Edition on this computer. GAME This is the main menu where you can choose between different types of activities. 1 2 3 4 5 6 1 Race Session Race against the computer or your own previous saved races. 4 Profile Profile settings. 2 Training Session You will get assistance from a Personal Trainer during the training session. 5 Options Graphics and Audio settings. 3 Fitness Test Session Test your fitness level and and see your fitness improve. 6 Exit Exit the game. RACE In the race mode you can race against different race opponents. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 1 Track Selector Select which track to use during the race session. 4 Opponents Select number of opponents. 2 Laps Select number of laps. 5 Difficulty/Pace Depending on race mode, select difficulty or pace. 3 Race Mode Select type of opponent to race against. Computer Choose ranking and race against computer generated opponents. Ghost Race against your best time on the selected track and number of laps combination. Pacer Choose pace and race at the given pace. 6 Start Start the race. 7 Main Menu Go back to the main menu. RACE HEADS UP DISPLAY This is the heads up display for the race mode. 2 1 3 4 5 1 Position Distance Displays information about closest opponents and the leader. 4 Player Displays information about position, gear and lap. 2 Track Profile Displays the track profile and where all players are located on the track. 5 User Information Displays current speed, effort, cadence and pulse. 3 Race Time Displays race time. RACE RESULTS After the race the following screen is displayed showing effort, cadence and pulse diagram for the race. TRAINING All training is based on a combination of effort (power) and time. Each combination is called a set. There are predefined training programs available and all of these training programs can be modified to fit your individual needs. TRAINING HEADS UP DISPLAY During the training, you will have a Personal Trainer cycling together with you. He will give you instructions during the training session. USER DEFINED TRAINING PROGRAMS For the advanced user it is possible to create user defined training programs. To create a training program do as follows: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Locate the directory which Webike Home Edition is installed to. Edit the file UDKGame/Config/DefaultTrainingSessions.ini. Locate the section called [UserDefined Webike2TrainingSession]. Remove all ; from this section. Each TrainingSetList line is a set in the training session. You can change Time and Effort for each TrainingSet and add as many TrainingSetList lines as you want. 6. Save the file and start Webike Home Editon. Your user defined training program should now appear in the training menu. FITNESS TEST This test allows you to get an estimate of your current fitness level and easily track how your fitness progresses. If you successfully complete a task described in the achievement description, the corresponding achievement symbol will light up and you will be awarded an amount of experience points. 2 Level Displays current experience level. Experience points (xp) and levels are tools to estimate your progress in the game. They are there to encourage you to keep on training and reach certain milestones. Your level has no particular effect in the game, but it can be fun to compete with your family and friends, trying to get the higher level before them. 3 Weekly Statistics Displays weekly statistics. 4 Alltime Statistics Displays alltime statistics. 5 Main Menu Go back to the main menu. OPTIONS This is the options menu. I am using dual monitors and the graphics are all wrong when I start the game? − Webike Home Edition only supports dual monitors if they are set in mirror mode. Extended mode is not supported. The bike is not recognized by Windows when I plug in the USB cable? − Try a different USB port on the computer. If that does not solve the problem try to remove the power supply for the bike and computer for five minutes and try again.
