CONNECT WIRES FROM YOUR CONTROL DEVICE TO THE TERMINAL NUMBERS ON THE J1 TERMINAL STRIP DESIGNATED BY THE BOX(ES) ABOVE EACH WIRE. IF MORE THAN ONE BOX IS SHOWN, REFER TO THE “OPEN AND CLOSE CONTROL OPTIONS” ON THE RIGHT TO SELECT THE CORRECT BOX FOR YOUR APPLICATION. THE CONNECTOR BLOCK MAY BE REMOVED FOR EASE OF WIRING IF DESIRED.
MASTER/SLAVE UNITS:
D O N OT BYPASS STOP BU T TO N. IF STOP BUTTON IS NOT INSTALLED, OR WIRED INCORRECTLY, A PERSON MAY NOT BE ABLE TO STOP THE GATE IN AN EMERGENCY. SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH MAY RESULT. REFER TO SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED WITH OPERATOR FOR MORE INFORMATION.

SENSING EDGE TO STO P will stop gate if edge is struck when gate is moving in either direction (wire in series w/ STOP button)
NOTES: 1) VEHICLE & PERSONNEL SENSORS Vehicle sensors and personnel sensors may also be connected to terminals 10 & 5 (in parallel to the sensing edge) to function as safety devices. Actuation of the device will reverse the gate if it is closing. 2) EMERGENCY OPEN/CLOSE Connections from O P EN and CLOSE controls may be made to terminals 2 and 1 respectively to by-pass the main control board in case of board failure. When these connections are made, controls will require constant pressure to keep door moving. On Master/Slave pairs, the controls will only operate the Master unit. To operate the slave in emergency mode, seperate Open and Close controls must be temporarily connected to the Slave as per diagram 3 at left. Disconnect these controls to return to normal operation.
CAUTION Sensing edge and all other components may be disabled in this mode.
