GE Security Fiber Optic Audio Transmitters and Receivers Overview Standard Features The B727A and B7727A series high performance broadcast grade fiber transmission system supports four High Quality Audio (HQA) channels. The all-digital processing platform features 24-bit audio processing. • Four two-way audio channels transmitted over one single mode or one multimode fiber • 24-bit audio processing • Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexer (CWDM) technology • 90 dB audio SNR • <0.003% THD • 20 Hz 20 kHz frequency response • Balanced or unbalanced audio • 13 dB multimode optical budget • 18 dB single mode optical budget • Built-in 1.0 kHz test generator • Built-in optical power meter CWDM Technology The units use Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexer (CWDM) technology to maximize operating distance capabilities. Selectable Audio Levels For added flexibility, dual range audio levels for the four audio channels can be configured for -10 dB to +8 dB operation. Built-in Diagnostics Eight multi-segment LED displays provide for complete monitoring of audio input and output levels and the received optical signal. When switched to the test mode on the receiver, the front panel LEDs have the capability to display the received optical level. This built-in test feature aids in the installation process as it easily measures the actual optical loss in the fiber run from the transmitter.
