Extension

DVI Modular Matrix System
Perfect for large venues, resturaunts, security applictions and more... The GefenPro Modular Matrix product line provides an all-in-one professional solution to route up to 32 mixed sources to any 32 outputs supporting resolutions up to 1920 x 1200. The modular design of these large-scale matrixes provides the ultimate in flexibility by allowing the use of any combination of DVI, DisplayPort, ELR, and FO output cards in any of its output slots. This feature allows the Modular Matrixes to function as both a Matrix and as an Extender. The front-panel LCD displays the current routing status and each source is routable to any display using the front-panel push buttons, RS-232 interface, or IP Control (built-in Web Server and Telnet). Hot-swappable, dual redundant power supplies allow the matrix to be used for applications in demanding environments where reliability and zero down-time are required. Three chassis are available; 8x8, 16x16, and 32x32 models.
Modular Components Provide Maximum Flexibility Flexible modular design allows customization of the configuration for input and output cards to match every need of the system and application. The core of the system consists of the Modular Matrix Frame; a powerful, expandable video distribution hub that contains up to eight expansion bays (32x32). Each model contains a bank of input cards and a bank of output cards. For the input cards, you can mix and match between DVI, CAT-5, Fiber Optic, and/or DisplayPort. For the output cards, there are multiple options. Firstly, you can have a basic Modular Matrix 8 DVI Output card for use when you don’t need extension. If signal extension is required, there are two options: one uses fiber optic, while the other utilizes CAT-5 and ELR Outputs. If the display connects to a Receiver unit, the Receiver unit will convert the signal back to DVI. The Receiver unit is powered over the CAT-5 cable.

Modular Matrix 8 DVI Input Card (GEF-MOD-8DVI-I): Connects up to four input slots, and provides eight DVI inputs.
Modular Matrix 8 ELR Input Card (GEF-DVI-8ELR-R): Connects up to four input slots, and provides eight ELR inputs which can receive and decode video from sources 330 ft. (100m) away using Sender units over one CAT-5 cable.
Modular Matrix 8 DisplayPort Card (GEF-MOD-8DP-I): Connects to any of four input slots, and provides eight DisplayPort inputs.

With this package, four DVI input and four DVI output cards are added. Each input card contains eight inputs and each output card contains eight outputs, providing a total of 32 DVI inputs and 32 DVI outputs.
With this package, four DVI input cards are added, providing 32 inputs. Four Fiber Optic output cards, each with eight SC-type connectors, are also added to extend the DVI signal up to 6600 feet (2 km). 32 Fiber-Optic-to-DVI Receiver units are included with this package option.
