Well, it’s that time when we are wrapping up the year. The Genesis club members have made this year another banner one. The effort put forth by the club officers and the membership have made it worthwhile being your president. Thank you for your support and enthusiasm that have made events so enjoyable. While this being said, I am offering a special thanks to our VP, Judy for heading up events and getting things done for us to enjoy as a club. The coming year is forming up to be busier than the past. I think you will find something that should be of interest to one and all. The January E board meeting will set the stage for the coming year. The board will be presenting activities and functions for all of us. Just a reminder, the worked all New England States award and longest DX award are on going. So start making those contacts. I know I want to get a few of those awards myself. Do the buddy system, join up with another club member and work some states, and countries. In conclusion, my personal thanks for your support, and my best wishes and a Happy New Year to All! Well it’s time to say my adieu, 73 JOHN, KB1EVY The Prez. Page 2 From the Vice President’s Desk December sure ended the year right! First we had the kick off for our club contesting on the first. Bruce NI1X, Judy KB1SRO, Anthony KB1UHV, Roy KB1CYV, Gary W1GRC, and Richard KB1TEH Next was my favorite sport “Fox Hunting”. No, not the furry animal type with the bushy tail, Hi, Hi! I mean the adventure of hunting down the “Fox” or mobile THunting. It’s fine tuning your skills tracking interference from a hidden transmitter or “ Fox”. Anthony KB1UHV and I love it when we join the South Shore Fox Hunting Group for a Hunt with our car wheels spinning and our antennas a blazing! Stay tune as I have plans for a Spring Fox Hunt to take place here in Plymouth! I am arranging with our Educational Officer Chris Johnson N1IR to give us a class on constructing directional antennas prior to our Hunt. Watch for details to follow in the upcoming month. Page 3 To top off the year’s activities was our Christmas Party. Nothing like Hams to spread cheer! Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus! With a rough start all’s well that ends well as the Christmas Party was a hit! Thank you Joe KA1GDQ and Dawn Marie who generously donated the 3 baskets for raffle to support the repeater fund. Jack K1BFJ won the basket of cheer. Arthur KA1PUT and his wife Pauline won the hot drinks basket and John W1SUR and his wife Margie won the 3rd basket. Bill KB1VXL and Nancy Thank you too for your support. All who bought Christmas tickets were in a drawing for a bottle of wine. Winners were Joe KA1GDQ and the “Lucky Lady” Diane KB1QNB …what’s your secret Diane? Last but not least Secret Santa left our 4 young people with goodie bags full of mind boggling items to quench the thirst of those sharp minds! Wishing you all a Healthy and Happy New Year and another year of fun filled Ham Radio Madness!
