This guide explains all the steps necessary for installing this unit and playing back a Blu-ray Disc. The height does not need to be exactly the same. Approx. 10 mm nn About the speaker cable label (supplied) for channel identification. The channel display section for speaker terminals on the rear panel is color-coded for each channel to be identifiable. Attach the speaker cable label for each channel to its speaker cable as shown in the diagram. Then, make connection so that the color of the speaker terminal matches that of the speaker cable label. Speaker 5 This unit nn Standard speaker connection. SW FR FL C SR nn Set up speakers. When using 5.1-channel surround playback, you can use this unit with the default settings. However, to obtain the optimum surround playback, we recommend adjusting the installation distance and volume etc., of each speaker. For details, see the included Owner’s Manual. SL 6 2 Connecting this unit to the TV nn Place the receiver near your TV. nn Connect the receiver to your TV with an HDMI cable. Playing a Blu-ray Disc player This section explains the basic operations for surround playback using a Blu-ray Disc player connected to this unit. Use SURROUND 0 1 to select a surround mode. MEMORY QUICK SELECT TV AUDIO TUNER CHANNEL Turn the Blu-ray Disc player on, and start playback. % • You can mute the volume by pressing MUTE. DVD BAND BAND POWER AUX Set so that multi-channel output can be used. (Set the disc menu settings and Blu-ray Disc player settings so that multi-channel output can be used.) CBL /SAT AUX Press POWER X to turn on power to the unit. Press Blu-ray to switch an input source. CBL /SAT MEMORY SURROUND TONE MUTE TUNE AUDIO DELAY SURROUND AUDIO DELAY VOLUME 12 Owner’s Manual The included CD-ROM contains an Adobe PDF version of the full Owner’s Manual for the AV receiver.
