Gigabit Fast Ethernet Fiber Converter 10/100/1000Base-T to 1000Base-FX Description ALANTEK series auto-negotiation Gigabit Ethernet Fiber Converter can achieve the conversion between 10/100/1000BASE-T and 1000BASE-FX, extending the transmission distance of legal Gigabit Ethernet up to 100km. It support a wide variety of networks providing a reliable and costeffective fiber optic connectivity solution for Enterprise networks. The modular design and flexible configuration enable scalable fiber network implementation. It can be used as a standalone module or with a 14-slot rack mount chassis. The 6 LED indicators on the front panel allow user to monitor the status and activity of the Converter.
Application Suitable for conversion between 10/100/1000Base-T to 1000Base-FX Fiber application and transmission over longer distance up to 100km.
Features • Singlemode or Multimode with SC, ST, FC or LC connectors • Support MDI/MDI-X auto crossover. Ethernet port auto-detect and adjust to Straight-through or Cross-over cable connection. Eliminate the need for specific cable. • Auto-adaptation rate and full/half-duplex mode supported at twisted pair port • Support Flow Control for Full Duplex and Back Pressure for Half Duplex • Max.1K-9Kbytes packet at store-and-forward mode • Support jumbo frame size up to 9000Bytes. • External Power Supply. • Conform to FCC and CE safety standards.

Fiber Converter Panel Identification for front panel of the transceiver is shown below: • TX - transmitting terminal • RX - receiving terminal • PWR - Power Indicator Light “ON” means normal operation of DC 5V power supply adaptor. • 1000M - Indicator Light “ON” means the rate of the electric port is 1000 Mbps, while “OFF” means the rate is 100 Mbps. • LINK/ACT (FX) “ON” means connectivity of the optical channel “FLASH” means data transfer in the channel “OFF” means non-connectivity of the optical channel. • LINK/ACT (TX) “ON” means connectivity of the electric circuit “FLASH” means data transfer in the circuit “OFF” means non-connectivity of the electric circuit. • SD - Indicator Light “ON” means input of optical signal “OFF” means non input. • FDX/COL: “ON” means full duplex electric port “OFF” means half-duplex electric port. • RJ-45 Jack - RJ-45 twisted pair port
