Gigabit Multi-mode SX to Single Mode LX Converter
Today's networks utilize a variety of fibre cables to meet the demands of bandwidth and cable distances. The NGF-728 series specifically addresses these needs by transparently converting Multi-mode fibre into Single Mode fibre cable in one small high performance device. Now the network designer can accommodate different fibre cables to suit specific requirements whilst still being able to transcend the physical differences in cable specifications. The NGF-728 series can accommodate FDDI, Fast Ethernet and Gigabit without any drop in performance. They can handle any protocol between 1Mbps and 1000Mbps. A Single to Single Mode and Multi to Multi-mode version is also available for increased cable distances. Expands the Size of an Existing Network - provides fibre connectivity to Gigabit segments allowing for even further networking expansion between extended Workgroups. Introduction: The NGF-728 Series has been specifically design to address the needs of Gigabit network professional working in the Single and Multi-mode fibre cable environments. These converters offer high speed transparent conversion between Single Mode cable segments and Multi-mode fibre segments at Gigabit network.
Enhances the Distance between Networking Devices connecting the NGF-728 to fibre segments can further extend distances up to maximum 20,000 meters between networking nodes. This can be achieved by direct connection between the converter and a fibre based node or networking device. Cabling Flexibility - put different fibre cabling anywhere within a network. Compact size allows the converter to be easily deployed in any narrow desktop location or used in wall mount installation. Several converters can be simultaneously installed by using the NXF-709 8-port 19" Rack-mount Chassis or NXF-717 4-port 19" Rack-mount chassis or the NXF-716 12-port Rack-mount Chassis.
