The video hub automatically, splits, 12 Port amplifies, slopes, and adjusts the input and output Front Panel signals to ensure the level and quality at each receiving TV. The backbone cable can be either single-mode fiber and/or standard coax cascadeds to other hubs in a star topology. Hubs are capable of handling return channel information for DOCSIS Rear Panel 3.0 or FSK. This active “GigaBUD 1000” can adjust for input signals ± 3 dB in both slope and level, and still provide consistent output needed for quality TV. Each Z-Band System includes a “Mini Monitor” program that will display the operating condition for a particular hub (laptop required). These hub conditions include: • Input level • Tone level of each coax output port • Power supply status • Ability to turn each port on/off • Temperature These video hubs connected to Z-Band’s Zip232 control unit are also able to distribute RS232 signals to individual or group of TVs for controlling power on/off, channel, and volume selection.
