GigaVUE HC Series // Data Sheet Product Description Traffic visibility is required to efficiently run today’s network infrastructures. As Big Data expands, needs become more complex. Enterprises, data centers, and service providers have come to rely on Gigamon® for scalable, high-density, traffic-intelligent visibility solutions. The GigaVUE-HC2 node integrates the successful size, modularity, and flexibility of the industry-standard GigaVUE-2404 G Series device with the more robust, denser GigaVUE H Series line to provide a highly modular, multi-purpose GigaVUE HC Series node. Leveraging advanced chipset technology, Gigamon introduces this compact unit designed to future-proof visibility needs as IT data continues to expand. The solution is the first of its kind, offering up to 96 x 10Gb ports in a mid-sized 2RU form factor running on the same operating system as the rest of the GigaVUE H Series offerings. GigaVUE-HC2 FRONT GigaVUE-HC2 FAN ASSEMBLY SKU: FAN-HC0 GigaVUE-HC2 MAIN MODULE SMT-HC0-R gaSMART R H/S PPS GigaVUE-HC2 REAR The flexible GigaVUE-HC2 chassis offers an elegant multi-functional design with four (4) front-facing bays that can accommodate an assortment of port, bypass, and internal TAP modules, addressing a variety of user needs within a highly flexible, multi-purpose node. Common port modules are available for 1Gb, 10Gb, and 40Gb. Physical and logical bypass options are available for inline protection running tools for Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS). This is also the first GigaVUE H Series node to consolidate TAPs internally within the system for added security, space savings, reduced cost, and expanded functionality. The GigaVUE-HC2 leverages Gigamon’s patented Flow Mapping® technology for complete aggregation, replication, and filtering capabilities. Optional GigaSMART® functionality is available for intelligent slicing, masking, de-duplication, FlowVUE™, GTP Correlation, and other applications such as NetFlow Generation via a front- or rear-facing GigaSMART module. This combination provides a diverse, multi-functional design to adapt to customer requirements and grow as needs expand. Advanced clustering enables tight integration with other GigaVUE H Series nodes including the larger GigaVUE HD Series or the smaller, fixed-port GigaVUE-HB1 fabric node to enable hundreds of ports to be managed as a single system.
