GLASS KLEEN Anti-Static Glass Cleaner 7066
DESCRIPTION GLASS KLEEN is an aqueous spray noted for its ability to lift and float off all grease and most forms of grime without harm to any glass surface. It is also available in aerosol cans as #7043. GLASS KLEEN has been specially formulated for use in the camera and plate room. It should not be confused with glass cleaners intended for household use. Most household glass cleaners (and some graphic arts glass cleaners) contain a high percentage of silicones. These silicones pose no problem on viewing through a window glass or reflection in a mirror. However, on a camera lens or vacuum frame glass, the silicone eventually builds up into a hard, thin coating which reflects back some of the light needed for proper exposure of a film or a plate. Silicone buildup can account for nearly 20% of the UV loss. GLASS KLEEN contains only the minimum amount of silicone needed to assure ease of wiping, making the possibility of any such buildup remote. GLASS KLEEN prevents the accumulation of static electricity on glass surfaces. When glass is cleaned, the friction of the swiping action can create a charge of static, and this static will attract and hold airborne dust particles to the surface of a camera lens and vacuum frame. It is also responsible for the annoying tendency of a film negative to cling to the underside of the vacuum frame glass. Consistent use of GLASS KLEEN will prevent this problem.
DIRECTIONS Spray just enough GLASS KLEEN onto the surface of the lens or glass to wet it. Then wipe it clean and dry with a soft, lint-free cloth or paper wipe. Do not use cheesecloth, as it is not sufficiently absorbent, and can leave a streaky residue. NOTE: GLASS KLEEN might leave a slight haze on the glass surface. This is harmless. It comes from the static eliminator, and is photographically transparent. It will not leave a shadow or impede the transmission of light.
FEATURES • Removes fingerprints, dust, grease and grime with ease. • Eliminates static. • Produces no silicone buildup. • Nondamaging to glass or camera lens. • Pleasant odor. • Convenient, easy to use aerosol spray.
