GLASS DIGITAL SCALE MODEL D121 Congratulations! You have purchased a precision health monitoring product that should provide you with years of accurate use. To assure you obtain the best performance please read the following setup and use instructions carefully before using the scale.
BEFORE USING THIS SCALE—PLEASE READ 1. Use 2 AAA batteries (included. Remove any plastic wrap from the batteries before proceeding). Always replace all batteries at the same time; do not combine old and new batteries. Do not mix Alkaline, carbon-zinc (standard) or Nickel-Cadmium (rechargeable) batteries. 2. Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the scale. 3. Place the batteries into the battery compartment according to the “+” and “-” polarity symbols in the compartment. (figure 1) fig1 4. Replace the battery compartment cover. 5. Replace all the batteries if “LO“appears on the screen or if readings grow dim or irregular.
General Operation 1. Install 2 AAA batteries (please read “Battery Installation” section of this manual for battery installation instructions). 2. Your scale has been set at the factory to read weight in pounds. Select the weight unit wants among kg/lb/st. Button is located on the back of the scale. Press button to switch between kg/lb/st. (figure 2) 3. Place scale on flat, hard surface. Carpeted or uneven floors may affect accuracy. (figure 3) 4. Step on the scale (disregarding the reading) and step off. This process insures the scale is set and is now ready for use. Do this whenever the scale is moved. At all other times step straight onto the scale. 5. Step onto the scale platform and remain still. The display will count up to your weight. The display will flash twice when the weight is locked. Your weight is now displayed.

Imporant: 1. The maximum capacity of this scale is 440 lbs / 200 kgs / 31 ST 6lbs. Should “O-Ld” appear on the display during a weighing, this indicates that the maximum weighing capacity of the scale has been exceeded. Remove the weight immediately; otherwise, permanent damage may occur.

2. Err = Instability Error. Ensure the scale is on a flat, stable surface. Step off and back onto the scale, standing still while your weight computes. 3. This scale is designed to read weights between 6.6 and 440 lbs / 3 and 200 kgs / 6.6 and 31 ST 6lb . To prevent damage, do not place more than 440lbs / 200 kgs / 31ST 6lb on it. 4. The scale will turns off automatically if no loading in 10 seconds 5. The scale will display “Err” and turns off automatically if no stable loading in 20 seconds 6. The data can be kept in 20 seconds if weight is not unload, then scale will display”Err” and turns off automatically 7. Scale will go back to zero 5 seconds later after unload, and can weight again
If you experience any difficulty in use of the scale: 1. Check the battery is correctly installed. 2. Check that you have selected your preference of kg/lb/st. 3. Check whether the scale is on a flat, level floor and not touching against a wall. 4. Do not step on scale until “0.0 lb” appears. 5. If, when you step on the scale to activate it, there is no display at all or “LO” is displayed- Try a new battery (figure 7)

Advice for use & care: 1. The glass platform will be slippery when it is wet. Keep dry. 2. Keep standing still during the course of weighing. 3. Treat the scale with care as it is a precise instrument. 4. Clean the scale with a damp cloth and avoid water getting inside the scale. DO NOT use chemical/abrasive cleaning agents. 5. Keep the scale in cool place with dry air. 6. If scale fails to turn on, check whether battery is installed properly, or battery power is low. Insert or replace new battery. 7. If there is error on display or the scale will not turn off for a long period of time, please take out the battery for about 3 seconds, then install it again to correct error. If you cannot resolve the problem, please contact Detecto Customer Service for consultation. 8. Do not use for commercial purposes.

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY Your DETECTO product is warranted to the original consumer only, for the lifetime of the product, to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. This product is designed for personal use only. DETECTO, a division of Lava Lite LLC reserves the right to nullify the Warranty Agreement should the product be used in a commercial environment. This warranty is void if the product has been tampered with, misused, abused or modified. Our obligation under this Warranty is limited solely to the charge of repairing the product, including the cost of parts, or, at our option, replacing the product with an equivalent model. There are no express or implied warranties except as listed above. DETECTO, A DIVISION OF LAVA LITE LLC IS NOT LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR FAILURE OR MALFUNCTION OF THE PRODUCT AND ANY RECOVERY MAY NOT BE GREATER THAN THE PURCHASE PRICE PAID FOR THIS PRODUCT. EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ON THIS PRODUCT IS LIMITED TO A PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEAR FROM THE PURCHASE DATE. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This Warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights which vary from state to state. To obtain warranty service, you must return the product freight pre-paid, in either its original packaging or packaging affording an equal degree of protection, to DETECTO, a division of Lava Lite LLC at 1200 Thorndale Avenue, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007.
