GlueBox™ Mio 90911 HD/SD SDI to HDMI Converter The GlueBox™ Mio 90911 HD/SD-SDI to HDMI/DVI converter is an exceptional, high quality, compact, reliable device for broadcast television and digital film industries. The box is used in many and varied applications as it has an exceptional range of facilities that make it more useful and adaptable. It is at home in a master control room, in the back of a rack, on a studio floor or mounted on a crane and powered from a 12v DC battery. Flexible multi-mode scaler The broadcast grade filtering in the GlueBox™ Mio 90911 HD/SD-SDI to HDMI/DVI converter gives better image conversion, permitting greater detail and eliminating artifacts often found on low quality converters. It accepts all formats of HD-SDI signals, whether 3G-SDI (dual or single link), HD-SDI or SD-SDI and from 1080p/60 down to 525i with automatic signal detection. There is an active, non-reclocked looped out which can negate the need for additional distribution equipment in the signal path. The powerful internal scaler has 14 modes enabling automatic output scaling or user selection of 13 different output resolutions from 1920x1200 down to 1024x768. The output mode is preset via the dip switches and enabled when the SET button is pressed. If set in error the DEFAULT button can be pressed to revert the unit back to initial mode.

Audio monitoring on HDMI This product is full of features that are often not available on similar other products which includes having audio output with the HDMI signal. The audio within any of the four groups embedded in the HD-SDI stream can be extracted and output as a stereo pair on the HDMI signal. This allows users to fully monitor a HD-SDI signal on a low cost HDMI monitor, for example The side mounted dip switches allow users to select the stereo audio pair for the HDMI output or blank the audio output to the HDMI signal, if required.
The GlueBox™ Mio HD/SD-SDI to HDMI/DVI is manufactured to high quality standards and housed in a compact, lightweight aluminium case with four mounting holes, allowing it to be secured to a surface when required.
Output interface and status indicators The output interface is a DVI connector and a DVI to HDMI converter is provided for HDMI applications. For peace of mind the GlueBox™ Mio HD/SD-SDI to HDMI/ DVI has two LED status indicators. The green power LED indicates that the unit is powered up correctly from a 12V DC power source capable of 1Ah DC power, which can be from an optional mains power (AC to DC) adaptor or external battery. The IN light confirms that the BNC is terminated, the input is locked and free from errors.
It ideally suited to both studio and field portable applications and is widely used with HD-SDI signals to provide a DVI/HDMI output for use with large monitors such as Oxygen DCTs Evolution Pro-M series. There is also a more sophisticated version with a web browser and outputs stereo analogue, in vision audio metering
