Always wear safety classes when installing this product. Read all instructions before using the Golf Car Cooling Unit (hereinafter, “GCU”). This product is designed to operate with CLEAN WATER ONLY. City water supply, bottled water, and other sources deemed suitable for human consumption will ensure optimal functionality of the system throughout maintenance intervals. In the event that another liquid other than CLEAN WATER is used to fill the water tank, immediately drain the contents of the tank and contact customer service regarding steps to take to help determine the usability of your system

Make sure that all electrical connections are fully seated and secure prior to use. 4. Use the GCU only as described in this manual. Any other use may void the warranty, cause electrical shock, fire, and/or injury. 5. To reduce the risk, or personal injury, only an adult should operate the GCU. 6. Disconnect the power connections before performing any maintenance on the GCU. 7. The GCU shall be completely assembled, according to these instructions before connecting to power source. 8. Do not insert or allow any foreign objects to enter the intake or exhaust air openings, as it may cause mechanical, electrical, or fire damage to the system or may become a projectile. 9. Do not block or tamper with the misting nozzles, as it may reduce or impede the functionality or quality of the GCU and void the warranty. Call an authorized service center for evaluation, adjustment or repair. 10. All parts of the appliance are packed in one container.
CAUTION: THE GCU SHALL BE INSTALLED ACCORDING TO THESE INSTRUCTIONS. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD VOID THE WARRANTY, RESULT IN THE PRODUCT COMING LOOSE DURING OPERATION AND/OR CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY.

POWER UNIT INSTALLATION
1.
If applicable, remove car’s right side sandbox according to manufacturer’s directions.

Remove support screws (Figure A-1).

Mount power unit bracket by aligning top through hole with clinch nut (Figure A-2). 5/16” screw previously removed is rethreaded from back and into clinch nut (Figure A-3). Do not fully tighten.

5. Reinsert previously removed screws securing bracket to golf car (Figure A-4).

6. Loosely secure the power unit to the mounting bracket using 4 ea. ¼”-20 locknut & 4 ea. ¼” flat washer (Figure A-5) from the hardware kit. Adjust the position of the power unit up & down as well as forward & back that best suits your car (Figure A-6). Tighten the 4 mounting bracket bolts.

CONTROL UNIT INSTALLATION 1. Assemble left and right support brackets with 2 ea. ¼”-20 x ½” HHCS, 2 ea. ¼” flat washer. Do not fully tighten (Figure A-7).

2. Attach left or right slide brackets to control unit support brackets with 4 ea. ¼”-20 x ½” HHCS, 8 ea. ¼” flat washer, and 4 ea. ¼” -20 locknut (Figure-8). One slide bracket may need to be installed after step 3 depending on canopy support width.

3. Align control unit assembly with car canopy supports (removal of one slide bracket may be needed depending on canopy support width) to allow slide bracket to slide onto the canopy support arms. Tighten slide screws. Raise control unit as high as possible as to not impair view while driving. Secure control unit with 4 ea. ¼”-20 x 1 ¾” SHCS, 8 ea. ¼” flat washer, & 4 ea. ¼-20 locknut (Figure A-9).

4. Rotate control unit upward to sit vertical under the canopy. Drill pilot holes (#18 Drill Bit) for 2 ea. #10 x ¾” thread forming screw and 2 ea. ¼” flat washer (Figure A-10).

AIR, WATER AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS To use “One Touch” or Push-to-Connect fittings simply slide the hose into the fitting fully, you should feel two clicks (Figure A-11). Failure to do so could result in a leaky connection. To remove the hose, while pushing the plastic ring on the fitting in, slide the hose out of the fitting (Figure A-12).

Connect the air and water tubes to the connectors on the Power Unit (Figure A-13). The water tube is blue & air tube is black. Make sure the tube is pushed all the way into the connector, and then make the electrical connection. Trim sealed tube ends before connecting (Figure A-14). Electrical Connector Air Hose (Black)

Route the tube and wire harness from the power unit under the seat, into the battery compartment. Next, route (Figures A-15 & A-16) the harness out of the bottom of the battery compartment under the car and forward to the wheel well. Route the harness up the canopy support to the control unit and connect (Figure A-17). Secure harness with zip ties where needed. Secure harness under the car with the 2 each provided cable clips. THERE ARE 2 OPTIONS FOR POWER CONNECTIONS ON THE GOLF CAR, PLEASE FOLLOW THE DIRECTION FOR YOUR VEHICLE. OPTION #1: 12V SYSTEM ON GAS POWERED VEHICLE Connect the supplied battery harness to attaching the positive (red) cable to the positive battery terminal. Connect the neutral (black) cable to the negative battery terminal (Figure A-18).

OPTION #2: 48V SYSTEM ON ELECTRIC POWERED VEHICLE (Converter Kit PN:AM12GCCK-1 sold separately) Mount converter in optimal location inside battery compartment using the double sided foam tape. Connect battery harness to main harness coming from power unit using the electrical connectors. Using the wire nuts, splice converter leads into battery harness (Figure A-19). Converter input (red) wire connects with red lead coming from fuse. Converter output (yellow) wire connects with red lead coming from connector. All three neutral (black) wires are connected together. Attach ring connections to battery terminals as shown (Figure A-20).

TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM GCU not running
