GPO Federal Credit Union Celebrates Grand Opening of New Branch in Washington, DC FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Timothy L. Anderson, President/CEO 202-512-1067 x 1016,
[email protected] Washington, DC – Government Printing Office Federal Credit Union (GPOFCU) celebrated the grand opening of its new satellite branch with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, November 4, 2015. The festivities included speakers from the sponsor agency the Government Publishing Office, the Credit Union National Association (CUNA), and several community partnership organizations. “Clearly today is an extraordinary occasion for the credit union”, said Timothy L. Anderson, GPOFCU President and CEO. “As a part of our strategic plan, it is imperative, from a competitive point of view, that we provide a location with easy access for our members. With increased technology and a credit union and bank on every corner, members need financial services to be more convenient or they will go somewhere else. This location provides that for GPO employees, retirees and their families, as well as our multiple community partners throughout the Washington, DC area. Our goal is to ensure everyone has access to financial products and services, including the unbanked and those underserved.” Ms. Davita Vance-Cooks, Director of the United States Government Publishing Office, applauded GPOFCU for its dedication to excellent member service, stating that “it’s all about the members!” She referred to GPOFCU’s 80th Anniversary Annual Report that predicted new services and technology, and plans for a new branch. “Congratulations on reaching another milestone,” Ms. Vance-Cooks said. - more Our Mission: To Deliver Exceptional Service, Built On Trust, To Meet the Primary Financial Needs of Our Members FINANCIAL CHOICES -- LIFETIME SOLUTIONS
