Introduction 1.1 Over view GWG4230 an integrated KET’s GPS module, is GPS receiver for Palm and Pocket PC based PDA. The GWG4230 consists of an excellent performance GPS module, Low noise RF block and built-in patch antenna. The GPS receiver is small size, high performance, convenient use and high reliability better than GPS receivers without antenna. GPS module is used the GPS receiver that is GWG6101 based on SiRF Technology and KET manufactured. This product is available to use SiRF X-trac Firmware for GPS application. It provides fast positioning and instant real-time navigation while consuming small power. The GWG4230 provides navigation information to the PDA or PC at NMEA protocol and SiRF Binery. RXD φ3.5 stereo GWG4230 DATA SHEET - Rev 1.0 06/2005 16/16 page GWG4230 5.1 VCC (+3.3V DC Power Input) This is the main DC power supply for a +3.3V(3V to 5V)-powered board. 5.2 TXD (C-MOS) This is the main transmitting channel and is used to output navigation and measurement data to GPS Monitor or user written software. The board supports 9.6K baud rates (All support variable), and all can be controlled from the appropriate screens in GPS Monitor software. You can directly communicate with a PC serial port. 5.3 RXD (C-MOS) This is the main receiving channel and is used to receive software commands to the board from GPS Monitor software or from user written software. 5.4 GND GND provides the ground for the board.
