The company is announcing at least 15 new products; from a pair of clock radios equipped with the latest auto set timekeeping features; to portable music players, and home audio and video systems; to dualscreen, portable DVD players. “We are very proud of this new line of products launching at CES,” said Bill Fetter, CEO of DPI, Inc. “As the market leader in technology, design and value, GPX never has a shortage of interest in the collection of products and technology that we bring to the show and, as always, we maintain our focus on the value that our customers expect from GPX.” Clock Radios and Digital Camera A pair of auto set clock radios (see other release) the C209B at $12.99 and the C389B retailing for just $19.99, with Intelli SetTM, and also one-button set for day light savings changes, will make a valuable addition to any family’s gift list this year. Both units also have line input for complete MP3 connectivity. To keep iPod users on time, GPX is introducing the CI189 Made for iPodR clock radio for just $29.99. The single alarm, AM/FM radio also has line input, and gradual wake-up to alarm, radio, or iPod with a soft amber 0.9” display. The unit will play and charge all compatible iPod models. Portable Audio GPX delivers music in many formats, and for the music fan on the go the red MW149R flash music player is tiny and robust. Smaller than pocket size, the non-DRM unit is a quality MP3 audio player with a display and a retractable USB drive. The battery-operated player comes complete with a set of custom ear buds. The MW249 and MW349B flash players are both MP3 and WMA compliant and the MW249 has an SD/MMC expansion slot to enable the expanded technology options. The units also ship with their own custom ear bud sets. The MW249 operates with a standard AAA battery, while the MW349B is equipped with a rechargeable battery, easy-to-read backlit display, and a convenient and removable clip. MP4 fans will appreciate the MT948B. A 1.3MP digital still and video camera, the 2.8” LCD touch screen unit is a full-function MP4 video player, with MP3/WMA audio playback. The BC119B ($24.99) and the BC219B ($29.99) portable boom boxes are for music fans on the go but wanting more functionality. Both multifunction boxes have custom designed handles for portability, MP3 line input, and are also AM/FM radios and CD players. The BC119B is CD-R/RW capable and has stereo speaker output, and the sleek BC219B is easily operated from the included remote control. A universal portable speaker rounds out the on-the-go categories for GPX. The SA119 speaker, at only $9.99, is completely portable using two AAA batteries with a 3.5mm type plug with slide position, an On/Off switch, and its own built –in amplifier. Home Audio and Video GPX has established a category-leading brand in the home entertainment industry segment and this year’s CES has a complete slate of powerful new components. Two audio systems, the HI209 ($49.99) complete with iPod dock, and the HM109B ($19.99) are both combination AM/FM radios and clock displays. Both units have MP3 line input and the HM109B comes with a 3.5mm headset pin, while the HI209 has its own remote control for easy operation from across the room. Two new video player systems are an impressive part of this year’s offerings. The HT119B at only $69.99 is a drawer-loaded DVD player with a custom 2.1 speaker and woofer system and progressive scan technology for improved video delivery. The HT219B, retailing for just $99.99 is a high-end, drawer loading DVD player, with a 5.1 powered speaker system and progressive scan technology for the best in both audio and video. The unit has an easy to read display and, in addition to DVDs, both units run DVD+/-R/RW, CDs, CD-R/RW and JPEG formats and files. The two stylishly designed systems are perfect in any room and are both easily controlled with their own fullfeatured remote control. Finally, whether the video is in the home, dorm room, office, or in the car with the kids, the PD7719B portable DVD player is always a perfect fit. With dual 7” LCD screen displays and two sets of ear buds for sharing, GPX’s newest player accepts DVD, CD and JPEG formats. A 3-way power option: AC 110-240V; car kit; or battery, makes the PD7719B a go-everywhere device.
