UNRIVALLED VERSATILITY & PERFORMANCE
The Liebert UPStation GXT uses true on-line technology to meet the most exacting equipment power requirement of modern network and telecommunication equipment. Unlike other UPS designs, it provides precise sinewave power, to ensure protection against all types of power disturbances, including lightning strikes and surges, voltage sags, harmonics and power outages. It also offers the communications capability and flexibility that is vital to the continuous operation of today’s complex distributed computing systems. The on-line technology at the heart of the high performance UPStation GXT gives superior power quality compared with other UPS topologies. Whatever the condition of the utility power supply, the UPS output will meet the requirements of delicate and sensitive electronic equipment. A basic off-line UPS will reduce the impact of spikes, surges and sags in the supply by clipping the peaks and valleys, boosting the power or switching to battery backup. In fact, within the track of an electrical sinewave, most power problems will be left uncorrected. But the on-line UPStation GXT completely regenerates the sinewave, rather than merely conditioning the incoming mains supply. It also provides the frequency regulation which is essential when using backup generator systems.
UPStation GXT Features include: ■ Flexibility Liebert’s unique RackTower design allows units from 1000VA to 3000VA to be installed either free-standing or rack-mounted, whilst the smaller MiniTower units are ideal for desk-top applications. ■ Fault tolerance A fail-safe bypass in the UPStation GXT ensures that the power supply to the critical load is maintained even during UPS overload or fault conditions. ■ Battery back-up upgrading RackTower units can be upgraded using plug-in battery packs to extend battery time. Extended battery cabinets are also available for the larger Tower units.

COMMUNICATION OPTIONS FOR LIEBERT’S UPSTATION GXT The communications interface provided as standard, allows full UPS monitoring and control, when used with Liebert’s SiteNet software. All major platforms are supported including Windows, UNIX, Novell, DEC and HP. UPStation GXT is available in RackTower convertible models.

UPS monitoring and shutdown software which prevents unexpected server shutdowns by monitoring UPS activity and closing down protected nodes if utility power remains off.
This user installable, hot-swap card enables the UPStation GXT to become a fully-interactive node on your SNMP network, allowing consistent monitoring and control of all network devices. Internal SNMP installation saves space, enhances reliability, and is internally protected by the UPS.
The MultiPort 4 communications card
■ SiteNet® Integrator™ Liebert’s SiteNet Integrator takes SNMP management one level further and adds environmental and user programmable monitoring to the UPS communication.
■ MultiPort 4 and MultiPort 8. When used in conjunction with SiteNet software, the MultiPort multiplexer communicates the status of a single UPS to as many as eight PCs, servers or workstations. ■ SiteNet® 2 Power surveillance and shutdown management software which gives ongoing monitoring and control between network servers and system UPS via a two-way graphical interface.
■ SiteNet® SNMP Manager UPS monitoring software for Network Management Systems which provides a series of snap-in screens for NMS software.
■ SiteNet® MultiLink This software allows single or multiple server shutdown through either a dedicated serial communications connection, or across the network. It can be used across mixed operating platforms and network topologies, allowing your power protection software to expand as your network develops.
