GYRORAKES KUHN
Strong Points KUHN Gyrorakes: they have more than one trick up their sleeves • Fully enclosed gearboxes. Drive parts are totally protected from dirt and water - increased service life. • Cam followers are always centred on the rotor axis. Constructed with pre-lubricated ball bearings that require no maintenance - reduced friction and wear. • Progressive cam track curve. Minimizes bearing loads while rotating arms form uniform, ideal windrow structure in all types of crop. • The Masterdrive TM gearbox utilizes a bevel and “Bull-Gear”, two-stage, reduction drive. Tolerances in the bevel reduction are thus tightly controlled for exceptional reliability and durability during intensive operation. • Tine arm supports fixed at top and bottom - Maintains proper alignment and increases strength. • Tangential double bent tine arms: clean raking and higher working speeds.
KUHN Patent
3 Windrowing system Very practical, the swath screen arm is mounted on a parallelogram frame for models starting from GA 3201. Strong point: simply by turning a handle, the windrow curtain arm is always in the best possible position in relation to the flow of the crop. Cross-section of the GA 3201/GA 3501 gearbox
Fixed headstock (G)... (Not available in all countries) The “G” series Gyrorakes are equipped with a fixed headstock and pivoting wheels. This compact design minimizes the rake’s weight and centre of gravity. Recommended for tractors with low lifting capacity and for work on steep slopes.
...or a Pivoting headstock (GM) Mounted flexibility with trailed performance. Gyrorakes with a pivoting headstock perform in the same way as a trailed machine while raking. Working quality is constant, even while following curves. Unrivalled manoeuvrability - increased productivity.
Ensured long service life: enclosed gearbox lubricated with grease Cross-section of the MASTERDRIVE gearbox
A high capacity gearbox for high capacity rakes High quality tines KUHN rake tines feature large diameter coils and a refined shape that provide clean raking, regular windrow formation and maximum service life. In addition to heat treatment a special final treatment substantially increases the tine’s resistance to fatigue.
Additional support wheel All Gyrorakes can be fitted with an additional support wheel at the front of the rotor. Benefit: improved raking performance and perfect rotor ground contour following.
Reduced transport width For transport, most models of KUHN Gyrorakes have removable tine arms that are stored at the front of the rake. Not only is the transport width minimised, but also the weight transfer on the tractor is reduced, thus improving tractor stability during transport. Storage space requirements are also significantly reduced.

GYRORAKES GA 300 GM
Time proven reliability As the pioneer of Gyrorakes with guided tine arms, the KUHN GYRORAKE has always been considered the “Gyrorake”. The 3-point mounted GA 300 models are no exception to this rule. With these Gyrorakes a crop rich in leaves and full of essential nutrients can be harvested.
5
3.20 m / 10’6” working width The GA 300 GM is fitted with 9 arms each with 3 tines. - The tine arms follow a cam profile that provides high clearance in the windrow area. - This ensures the formation of even, fast drying windrows that are free of stones. - The windrow curtain is adjustable to regulate windrow width as well as fore and aft.
www.kuhn.com
GA 300 GM Pivoting headstock: Manoeuvrability and mobility The GA 300 GM with a pivoting headstock allows increased manoeuvrability and improved terrain following. - Raking quality and windrow shape is uniform, even around corners. - While operating, manoeuvrability is similar to that of a trailed implement. - Wheels are fixed but are adjustable in height with the use of a simple selector lever.
Well protected gearbox without maintenance - §The tine arm drive components are housed in a fully enclosed gearcase, and don’t require any special maintenance. - The tine arm holders are fixed on both the upper and lower gearcase covers.

GYRORAKES GA 3201 G - GA 3501 GM
Compact transport and storage / increased capacity The GA 3201 and GA 3501 are designed for low and medium horsepower tractors. Equipped with 9 and 10 tine arms respectively, these rakes have a working width of 3.20 m / 10’6’’ and 3.50 m / 11’6” and feature a fully enclosed gearbox, removable tine arms and folding guards for transport and storage, and a unique parallelogram windrow curtain adjustment. These significantly reduce transport and storage requirements.

Rotor safety lock All KUHN Gyrorakes with folding guards, such as the GA 3201 and the GA 3501, are equipped with a rotor locking device. For improved safety, the rake cannot be driven once the guards are raised. When the rotor is locked, the standard torque limiter protects the drive components of the Gyrorake should the PTO drive be inadvertently engaged. Fitted with pivoting wheels, Machine height adjusted individually by means of a lever located on the wheel.
Ingenious windrow curtain adjustment The patented windrow curtain design uses a parallelogram system. - No tools and minimal effort are required for adjustment. - When extended outward the curtain automatically moves to the rear, and while retracting the screen automatically moves to the front. In this way, the screen is always correctly placed in relation to the crop trajectory.
Reduced transport width - For significantly reduced transport width and storage requirements the guards and windrow curtain are folded up. - Easily detachable tine arms are then stored in a rack located at the front of the machine to reduce the tractor’s lift requirement.
GA 3201 G : with fixed headstock -
This rake is ideal for working on steep slopes. With a fixed attachment to the tractor the rake will faithfully follow the tractor on the steepest slopes. Fitted with pivoting wheels, Machine height adjusted individually by means of a lever located on the wheel.

GYRORAKES GA 4121 GM - GA 4321 GM
The answer to demanding raking applications The GA 4121 GM (10 tine arms - 4.10 m / 13’5”) and the GA 4321 GM (12 tine arms - 4.20 m / 13’9”) offer exceptional capability. The greater number of tangentially mounted tine arms, allow operation at higher ground speeds while maintaining a slower rotor speed. This ensures that the crop is raked both cleanly and gently. The double bent design of the tine arms (another KUHN patent) increase capacity and enable optimum raking of the crop. Perfectly formed, airy windrows are obtained that decrease drying time and improve the feeding capacity of the baler or forage harvester.
KUHN Patent For or the greatest reliability and long life the GA 4121/4321 are equipped with the exclusive MASTERDRIVE gearbox.
9
For peace of mind: total reliability. For comfort of use: windrow delivered to the right.
Fully enclosed gearbox The GA 4121 GM/GA 4321 GM are equipped with a fully enclosed MASTERDRIVE gearbox: increased reliability and service life.
Optimum output Large working widths, fast working speeds, and high maneuverability, are obtained thanks to the pivoting headstock: 3 elements that save time and reduce labor costs.

Headstock dampener
Easily folded guard A spring allows the left guard and windrow curtain to be easily raised and lowered.
- A headstock dampener is supplied as an option on the GA 4121 GM and is standard on the GA 4321 GM. When raising the rake the dampener smoothly and automatically centres the rake behind the tractor. - The headstock and main beam have been redesigned and reinforced for improved resistance to stress and to reduce PTO angles.
GA
GYRORAKES GA 4521 GM/GTH
Maximum output! With a working width of 4.50 m (14’9’’), 13 tine arms and bogie axles as standard, the GA 4521 GM (3-pt mounted) and the GA 4521 GTH (trailed) are amongst the most performing on the market. • Even at high speeds, on irregular grounds, they excel in smoothing out bumps and holes. The distance between the ground and the tine tip is constant: no scraping of the grass stubble, no soiling of the crop.
11
• The MASTERDRIVE gearbox which ensures maximum service life of the drive components and the tangential tine arms providing optimum raking quality are other assets. • Raking to the right for greater comfort of use. • The drawbar trailed version (GA 4521 GTH), is ideally suited to low power tractors.
The wheels : the secret to perfect ground contour following - Equipped with bogie axles, the GA 4521 GM/GTH are « cross-country » machines : they roll over uneven ground, just touching the edges. The « extra » : working speed and stability on uneven terrain. - Rake with no crop waste, or impurities, due to the close positioning of the wheels to the tines.
www.kuhn.com
GA 4521 GTH : Exceptional lift height - Thanks to two hydraulic cylinders placed underneath the gear train and the drawbar, the machine is raised horizontally for transport. The ground clearance thus obtained also facilitates crossing over already formed windrows when work is finished. - Parallelogram on the drawbar to prevent jammings at drawbar level.
A great single rotor unit adapted to small tractors.
Only 2.20 m transport width ! Only 2.20 m transport width ! - The tine arms are stored in a rack at the front of the machine. The guards are folded up vertically. The GA 4521 significantly reduces in size for storage and transport. - For additional safety, lighting and signalling elements are standard equipment.
Overall user comfort Guard folding (1) and windrow width adjustment (2) can be controlled from the seat of the tractor. This is also an option on the GA 4321 GM model.

GYRORAKES KUHN
No need to choose between clean raking and clean crop! KUHN rotary rakes are a key to higher quality hay and forage. KUHN Gyrorakes Dry the Crop! Hay raked with a rotary rake will dry faster than unraked hay. It will be ready for baling sooner, with less sun bleaching. And sometimes a few hours faster drying will mean a day or more faster baling when wet weather is forecast. Air dries the crop and you need to rake it to dry it! logie, Techno Proper use of rotary rakes makes better hay and forage. Kuhn rotary rakes gently rake hay, taking apart wet high rtner of e a p wads of hay, and building a fluffy windrow that lets air and sunlight in for faster drying. Other types of rakes anc perform rms can’t be used until the hay is dry. Other rakes mean more hay bleaching and leaf loss. Kuhn rotary rakes mean fa k livestoc higher quality hay.
The tangential tine position means improved windrow formation The PLUS point of the HYPER-TANGENTIAL drive
The windrows are even better. - The crop is pushed to the outside of the rotor towards the windrow. - A cleaner windrow for silage making and baling.
13
Double bent tine arms Additional clearance provided at the exit point in comparison to straight tine arms, results in : A
- Large fluffy windrows formed with no risk of pulling crops out of place, - Easier crop pick up, with loss reduced to a minimum and higher working speed.
Optimum wheel position A The wheels are positioned extremely close to the rotor. The tines follow the contours of the ground better so there are fewer impurities.
www.kuhn.com
Ways to obtain high value forage A well formed windrow Even when making large windrows the structure of the windrow is always loose, light and airy, facilitating faster drying and even pick-up by balers and forage harvesters. KUHN’s asset: The double bent tine arms (KUHN patent) of Girorakes GA 3501/4121/4321 and 4521 ensure greater tine arm clearance over the windrow.
Only harvest crop The tine height is accurately controlled to minimize ground contact, preserving both the stubble and crop cleanliness. And wear on the rake is reduced. KUHN’s asset: A wide wheel track and wheels positioned very close to the tines contribute to cleaner raking.
Quick and efficient You would like to optimize your forward speed, raking quality, preserve ground cover, and protect the machine against the wear and tear from uneven ground. KUHN’s asset: The bogie axles have 4 staggered wheels reducing pressure on the ground.
Constant raking quality All Gyrorakes with pivoting headstocks are equipped with wheels individually adjustable in height using a selector lever. This allows precise adjustment of the rake’s height to ensure consistent quality raking, even in dense crops. KUHN’s asset: On all Gyrorakes, both sides can be adjusted individually..
