Using the SSP™ up to 128 recorders and 255 devices can be controlled on a single addressable cable run. Bi-directional communications feed back control and warning status to a central control point. Non-record status output both at rear panel and via RS-485. Provides two types of output whenever the unit senses a non-recording condition. Individual output can be programmed to be present at the rear panel as a ground closure or carried on the RS 485 SSP™ communications link. Alarm input, Alarm Recording Notation for identifying each alarm. Alarm input to register each alarm occurrence. When an alarm occurs a signal noting that alarm is recorded on the tape. • Alarm Scan, Alarm Search and Time/Date Search: Three Methods of tape search to locate any point on tape. Via Alarm Scan for playing back each in order of its recording, Alarm Search, for locating a specific alarm and Time/Date Search for accessing any point on tape by date and hour. • Warning out via rear panel and RS-485: For informing the operator of any unauthorized change in operating status. This output is available via a rear panel ground closure contact and by the SSP™ communications system. • Multiple Level Tape Protection System: A three way tape protection guards internal system components and video tape against damage due to improper tape loading and unloading and tape movement during playback and recording. A unique loading identification system ensures that the video tape is properly loaded and in contact with required system points. • Multiplexer Switcher Output: Available switcher output pulse ensures compatibility with most system multiplexers. 8 hour recording and playback offers the maximum amount of multiplexer update rate possible.
