Operation Guide Carefully read this manual in full before using this appliance Hand Mixer Guide • Speed This appliance has 5 separate speed settings from 1 (LOW) to 5 (HIGH). The difference between each speed setting is not only rotation speed of the beaters but also the actual power rating of each setting and therefore the torque. The speed of the rotation is noticeably greatest between lower speeds only. • Turbo This appliance is fitted with a TURBO boost function. This allows for a boost to the power on lower speeds only. For example if you are beating on settings 1, 2, or 3 and need a quick burst of increased power simply press the TURBO button. This function does not affect highest speeds and is designed solely as a low speed booster • Eject This button releases the mixer accessories form the beater. Do not pull the mixer arms. • Stand The rear portion of the mixer is designed as a stand so that the appliance can be placed on the bench in an upright position for ease of use. • Mixers There are 2 dough hook and 2 standard beaters supplied. Operation Guide • Prepare food item to be beaten in a suitable mixing bowl. Allow for expansion of food materials when choosing the bowl. • Insert the desired accessory beaters into the drive sockets of the beater. Ensure they are correctly installed. Note. The dough hook with the collar will only fit into the larger socket. • Connect the supply cord of the mixer to a suitable power supply outlet and switch on power to the appliance. • Place the beaters into the mix and select a low speed at first. Use a higher speed only when you require it. For a quick burst of extra power on lower speed settings press the Turbo Button. • Move the mixer in a circular motion around the bowl to aid mixing. • Stop the mixer periodically and scrap the sides of the bowl with a spatula to remove mix from the sides of the bowl and the mixers. • Stop the mixer before removing from the bowl when mixing is complete. • Once finished switch the appliance off and remove from the power supply outlet. • To remove the beaters press the eject button. Do not attempt to pull the beaters out by hand. Warning – Moving parts! Do not touch moving mixer parts. Always allow to stop completely before touching. Keep long hair and loose clothing away. Continuous use This appliance is not designed for continuous usage over long periods. After a period of 2 minute continuous use it is recommended to stop the appliance and allow a short period for it to cool down. Long periods of continuous use may overheat the motor. Mixing Speed Guide 1 Starting speed. Ideal for bulk foods such as flour, butter and potatoes 2 Ideal for liquid type ingredients. 3 Light mixing, cakes and breads. 4 Creaming and beating. Butter, sugar and beating similar. 5 Whipping and beating eggs, potatoes, cream. Cleaning Warning! When not in use or before cleaning, always disconnect the appliance from the mains supply. Warning! Do not allow the appliance or supply cord and plug to be immersed in any liquid Warning! Do not block any air vents. Wipe the mixer body with a warm damp cloth and dry with a dry towel. Wash the beaters in hot water and mild detergent. Alternatively wash in a dishwasher with a suitable dishwashing liquid. Dry immediately with a dry towel when the cycle is complete. It is not advised to leave metal utensils in water for long periods. Important Safety Instructions Warning! Young children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Safely dispose of any plastic bags or other packaging that may present a hazard to young children of suffocation or choke hazard. Warning! Unattended Appliances Do not leave any appliance unattended when in use or connected to the mains power or near children. • Always disconnect the appliance from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning. • Do not allow children to use the mixer without supervision. Safety For household indoor use only, do not use outdoors. Not for commercial use. Warning! Switch off the appliance and disconnect from the mains supply before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use. Power cord Do not abuse or damage the supply cord. If for any reason the cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazard. A replaceable cord must be replaced with an authorised replacement from an authorized service agent. Heat Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or where it could touch other heat sources. Use This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as: • Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; • Farm houses • By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; • Bed and breakfast type environments Store Warning! Before storage of this appliance allow it to cool down Examine the appliance frequently for signs of wear or damage. If there are such signs or if the appliance has been misused return it to the supplier prior to any further use for checking. Store the appliance along with the manual and accessories together in a dry place. Service Refer all servicing to qualified personal. This appliance has no user servicing parts or requirements.
