Hardware RAID Class Storage Protection with Redundant Enclosure Modules The RocketStor 6422AS is a professionalgrade, high-density Hardware RAID solution designed for Mac and PC Platforms, and Capacity-optimized Storage applications; media libraries, Nearline Archiving Storage, and Server &Workstation Storage. RAID-on-Chip Architecture Our 6Gb/s SAS/SATA RAID-on-Chip solutions provide an eight-lane PCI Express 2.0 host interface and incorporate ARM based processors and RAID5/6 CRC32 engines with internal SRAM and DDR3 memory to optimize transfer speeds and accelerate access times. Optimized Server Storage Performance Our industry proven hardware RAID architecture optimizes the performance and reliability of the entire storage environment. The dedicated processor and memory allow our hardware RAID solutions to work independently and minimizes the storage system’s impact on the host’s resources. The dedicated resources also allow hardware RAID solutions to support greater I/O queue depths and handle variable RAID Block Size, which maximize I/O efficiency and provide superior transfer performance for I/O intensive applications such as On Line Transaction Processing (OLTP) or web servers. Uncompromised Data Availability and Security Administrators can configure routine disk verification sessions using Storage Health Inspector (SHI) to proactively maintain the health of the entire storage system by examining each member of an array for failed sectors, which can be remapped or
repaired on the fly to ensure storage remains active and accessible. Administrators can initialize or schedule RAID verification sessions that check each disk member of an array for parity consistency. If any parity related problems are found, the interface will immediately rebuild the array to ensure the integrity of your data. Robust Design and Modular, Redundant Components Deliver Uncompromised Reliability The robust rackmount enclosure was designed specifically to protect and maintain large RAID configurations in the most high-stress working environments, and ensure data remains online even in the case of hardware failure. Efficient, ultra-quiet cooling fans and front to rear ventilation work in tandem to keep ambient temperatures in check and ensure storage devices operate in consistently cool, controlled conditions. The IPC-Grade redundant power supplies and cooling apparatus are modular in design - this allows customers to easily remove and replace failed or faulty components and minimize downtime for the entire storage environment. Each of the removable-hot swap trays provides power and activity LED’s which allow administrators to quickly asses the availability of the hard drives. Intelligent Enclosure Management LED’s and configurable audible alarms are provided to quickly notify administrators in the case of a component failure or environmental warning such as power loss or overheating, and work in conjunction with the RocketStor 6422AS’s RAID Management Suite.
