You will also need: Windows-compatible pointing device (mouse, trackball, touch pad, touch screen, light pen, etc.) Windows-compatible printer (laser printer recommended) Available serial port (for the optional Barcode Interface) Consider the amount of company data to be stored, possibly requiring more than the minimum room on the Server. If you have your own copy of Microsoft Access and you wish to customize PMC, it must be version 12.0 from Office 2007. PMC versions 6.0 and 6.1 use the Microsoft Access Runtime version 2007. If you have Office 2010/ Access 2010 installed, it may cause a conflict. To resolve, backup and then uninstall PMC and Microsoft Access 2007 Runtime, then install PMC again on all workstations. For new computers without Office 2010 or PMC 6.x, install Office 2010 first then PMC 6.x. For assistance, call DPSI Support and consult Microsoft for documentation on the procedures to follow when using multiple versions of Access. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928091. Network The network version of PMC will operate on any 100% Microsoft Access-compatible network operating system. Network interface cards and a file server will be required. Network file server requirements depend greatly on the number of workstations on the network and the amount of activity across the network. Talk to your hardware or network provider about these variables. We recommend reviewing Microsoft’s documentation on running Access across a network. Compatibility PMC is compatible with Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 7 and Citrix Ready for Citrix XenApp 6.0 and 6.5. Internet Internet connectivity and Internet Explorer 6.0+ are recommended to access DPSI’s Web-based support resources. DPSI Canada
