Future display and projection technology will incorporate full HD 1920 x 1080p resolution which is limiting the cable run even with very good DVI cable to a mere 5m length. HDMIMAX With the many different types of cable quality available at todays market we can only guarantee specified operation of the HDMIMAX when used with our cables. In many cases the unit should work with your current installed cable and we recommend that you field test the unit if it is working with the cable of your choice. 15m cable runs should be no problem even if the cable is of questionable quality. The system requires at minimum 2 CAT5e cables and may be used for HDMI or DVI signals. The systems passes EDID transparently. Most computers will deactivate the DVI output when the monitors EDID is not present. The unit offers 35 HDMI/DVI resolutions and 39 pattern. All common PC and HDMI resolutions are predefined and available in 50 and 60 Hz output modes. 2 audio inputs, one stereo analog and one optical 5.1 SPDIF may be embedded in the HDMI output signal. In addition an internal sine wave generator allows quick check of audio functionality. HDMIMICROGEN The HDMIMICROGEN is the first affordable HDMI/DVI pattern generator on the market, yet a very powerful one. The unit has some special features that are very handy to solve typical HDMI problems. The pattern generator allows the choice of 35 pattern in 8 groups. The unit has an internal sine wave generator of 1kHz or may acccept a digital audio signal at its optical input and embedd it into the HDMI signal. HDMI or DVI displays or both supported and are detected automatically. In additino the unit offers a very powerful EDID analysator that will display the EDID information as text on the display.
