HDTrinity HDMI 1X4 SPLITTER SS04 HDTrinity HDMI 1X4 Distribution Amplifier (Splitter) USER MANUAL Model No. SS04 DEAR CUSTOMER Thank you for purchasing this product. For optimum performance and safety, please read these instructions carefully before connecting, operating or adjusting this product. Please keep this manual for future reference. FEATURES     Easy to Use: Install in seconds, no extensive configuring required Distribution: 4 identical HDMI outputs of a single HDMI input signal Cascading: Large distribution achieved by cascading multiple splitter units HDCP compliant. INTRODUCTION This HDTrinity 1X4 Distribution Amplifier (Splitter) is a four output HDMI splitter. It distributes the HDMI input signal into four identical outputs. These four HDMI outputs are synchronized, identical images of the source signal. The SS04 has the ability of buffering and amplifying the signal to achieve long distance transmission of more than 15 meters if using high quality HDMI cables. When two or more SS04 units are cascaded, they can be used to create a larger distribution. Distribution amplifiers (splitters) offer solutions for multiple HDTV displays in retail and show environments such as electronics stores, shopping malls, bars and restaurants, beauty salons, trade show sites, conference rooms, and school and corporate training situations. www.HDTrinity.com 1 HDTrinity HDMI 1X4 SPLITTER SS04 PACKAGE CONTENTS 1) Main unit - P/N:SS04 2) 5V DC Power Supply 3) User’s Manual PANEL DESCRIPTIONS CONNECTION AND OPERATION 1) Connect the HDMI input signal to the SS04 input port and connect the displays to the output ports on the SS04. Your signal device (Blu-ray player, HD Cable, Computer, HD Satellite, etc) may have an auto-detect feature for resolution and it will automatically detect 1080p on the splitter. Your HDTrinity splitter will then take this signal and output 1080p to all of your displays. If any or all of your displays are not 1080p capable, they will not recognize this signal and will thus show a blank screen. You will then need to go into the display output menu of your signal device to decrease the output resolution to the lowest capable resolution in your set of displays. LED lights on SS04 Splitter are ON Are the cables connected properly? Please refer to the connection diagram. 1- Check the display unit’s volume 2- Turn off the HDMI source (DVD, PS3 Image without sound etc.) and power on again. If there is still no sound, then: 3- Turn off the power switch on the SS04 for 10 seconds and turn on *please note that units connected with a again DVI adapter will not have sound – 4- Repeat step 2 again if still not DVI is a video-only connection standard working * Some devices not HDMI certified may have compatibility problems. Examine the HDMI cables and replace with new cables if possible. To ensure Poor picture quality that the splitter is operating correctly, (snow, sparkles, banding, etc) test with the shortest HDMI cables possible. Longer or inferior/damaged cables will compromise image quality. - See “Resolution Settings” section to match the output of Some displays without your HD signal to the resolution image or sound of the lowest resolution display. - Make sure the HDMI cables are not damaged Non-HDCP Compliant Devices If a DVI device does not appear to work, make certain that the device is HDCP compliant. A non-HDCP compliant DVI device will not work with a signal that has HDCP encoding present Cable Length If you need to span distances over 10 meters to reach the amplifier splitter or the HD display, HDTrinity recommends the use of our HDMI CAT5e/6 Extender which will allow you to extend a HDMI signal up to 45 meters. www.HDTrinity.com 4 HDTrinity HDMI 1X4 SPLITTER SS04 LIABILITY STATEMENT Every effort has been made to ensure that this product is free of defects.
