Roofs must have adequate drainage. Surface Preparation Stir HE826 - RUBBERKOTE™ BASE COAT in its container until uniform in color and consistency. Application Surface must be clean and in good repair. Carefully inspect area to be coated, including around pipes, chimneys, equipment, roof edges and walls. Repair all cracks, breaks, splits and holes with a product approved by the EPDM manufacturer. All leaks must be sealed prior to application of RubberKote™ coatings. Prepare the EPDM roof for coating using HE825 RubberKote™ Primer. Follow all instructions on the HE825 label. Roof should be coated within 24 hours of cleaning with HE825. HE826 - RUBBERKOTE™ BASE COAT is ready to use. Coating should be applied under normal environmental conditions without thinning. A typical airless spray unit consists of: a material transfer pump for air motor driven sprayers (1:1 - 5:1 compression ratios or a drum siphon for self contained gas-hydraulic sprayers capable of delivering min. 1500 psi working pressure; 200 - 300 ft. of 1/2" high pressure hose; an airless spray gun designed to operate in the same working pressure range as the spray unit; .035" tip size (ex., Graco No. 510 gun, 2500 psi, max. tip size .045, 1/2" hose with last 20' of hose 3/8" for ease of handling). A standard roofing gun having a minimum .035 tip should be used. Apply HE826 - RUBBERKOTE™ BASE COAT at the rate of 1 U.S. gallon per 100 sq. ft. Allow a minimum of 24 hours between application of HE826 - RUBBERKOTE™ BASE COAT and application of #827 RubberKote™ White Elastomeric Roof Coating. Precautions Do not apply when temperature is below 50ºF or will fall below 50ºF within 24 hours, or if there is any chance of precipitation within 24 hours after application. Do not ingest. Close containers after each use. Keep from freezing. Keep products out of reach of children. Spray equipment should only be used by trained professionals. Cleanup Follow good safety practices for disposal of any containers. Thoroughly rinse out the sprayer unit. Clean brushes, tools and other equipment with soapy water immediately after use. Dried film may require paint remover. Use care when handling solvents. Caution CAUTION! Do not take internally. If you experience eye watering, headaches or dizziness, leave area or increase fresh air or wear respirator (NIOSH/MSHA TC 23C or equal).
