Push switch forward (toward the laser end) slightly and lift out from rear (as shown below). PLB-0001-140 & PLB-0002-140 Each Universal Laser Bore Sighter comes with 4 bore adapters to fit any .22 to .50 caliber firearm. These adapters have been fitted with a precision brass bushing to allow the mounting screw to rotate freely inside them. .435 to .500 cal. .350 to 434 cal. Calibrating the Laser Bore Tool Switch and Battery Holder Calibration Adjustment Screws .220 to .270 cal. Laser Bore Alignment Tool Bore Adapters MAKE SURE FIREARM IS UNLOADED BEFORE PROCEEDING! Use of the Laser BoreSighter Select the proper adapter for the caliber of the firearm and thread onto the back of the Laser Bore Alignment Tool (as shown above). The adapter expands larger as you turn it onto the Laser Bore Alignment Tool (as shown below). Tapered Brass Rotating Bushing Stainless Steel Arbor After you have selected and adjusted the proper caliber adapter, place the Laser Bore Tool into the firearms barrel snuggly against the tapered brass bushing. Place the firearm in a position that it will not move, (gun vise, sand bags, etc.). Turn ON the laser and rotate the head clockwise with slight pressure towards the barrel, as illustrated below. (This will keep the bore in full contact with the taper bushing while calibrating.) Pick a distance of 25 to 30 yards, (a shorter distance can be used, but the further the distance the more accurate calibration can be made), and note movement of the laser dot. If no movement is detected through a full rotation the Laser Bore Tool is in calibration. If a circular movement is seen then a calibration adjustment is needed. Each Adapter Expands To Fit Its Range Of Calibers Adjust the adapter for a snug fit into the barrel and slide in to the large tapered brass bushing on the Laser Bore Tool. This has now aligned it with the center of the axis of the bore. Calibrate if Laser Dot Scribes a Circle To calibrate, note the position of the laser dot in the circle its scribing with relationship to the 2 adjustment screws. As you turn the adjustment screw clockwise the dot with move in the opposite direction of the screw and counter clockwise will be towards the screw. Aways make slight adjustments towards the center of the circle the dot is scribing. Then recheck by rotating the Laser Bore Tool and continue to adjust until no movement of the dot is detected. Operating the Laser Bore Alignment Tool The unit comes packaged with batteries installed. To turn the laser on, first make sure it is pointing away from your eyes or anyone else, rotate the switch a half turn in either direction until you feel a click and the laser is ON. To turn the laser off, rotate the switch another half turn. The laser operates on (3) # A76 batteries which are very common watch/calculator batteries. Many manufacturers make them under different numbers such as LR-44, AG13 etc. These 3 batteries will operate this unit for over 1.5 hours continuous, however used for just a few minutes at a time, many firearms may be bore sighted before replacement. FOR THE HIGHEST DEGREE OF ACCURACY WE SUGGEST THAT THE CALIBRATION IS CHECKED EACH TIME THE UNIT(S) IS USED
