26954_Siemens Heater Broch 1/30/04 4:53 PM Page 2 High Efficiency Panel Heaters • Designed with domestic, commercial and office usage in mind. • Robust and ultra-effective, yet elegantly slim and unobtrusive. • Safe, low surface temperature which is achieved by a large surface area of the finned element and sophisticated thermostat. • Fitted with an electronic thermostat accurate to within half a degree centigrade to maintain a very stable room temperature. • Lockable control cover is available as an optional accessory for commercial applications. 26954_Siemens Heater Broch 1/30/04 4:53 PM Page 3 Siemens Wall–Mounted Natural Convector Heaters Controls Each heater has a double pole On/Off switch and a thermostat knob. Thermostat control The thermostat control has a maximum and minimum position and is numbered from 8-29. These numbers correspond to the room temperature in degrees centigrade. The minimum setting represents a room temperature of approximately 5 degrees centigrade and may be used for frost protection. The maximum setting will correspond to a room temperature of approximately 30 degrees centigrade (If the appliance has been sized correctly for the application). Thermostat The thermostat has a remote sensor located in the base of the heater encased in a plastic insulated plug to protect it from the radiant heat from the element. In operation the thermostat samples the air every 40 seconds and compares the set temperature with the actual temperature. If there is a difference, the element is energised until the selected temperature corresponds with the actual air temperature. Once the selected air temperature has been reached, the rapid cycle of the thermostat will ensure that this temperature is maintained with less than 0.5 degrees centigrade deviation, even if the exterior temperature drops significantly. Warmth circulates throughout the room Selected setting Siemens sensor control Standard thermostats The rapid cycling of the thermostat also means the element is only energised for short periods and therefore the maximum surface temperature of the element and the heater case are dramatically reduced in normal operation. A better indoor environment and significant savings in energy consumption can be gained over appliances fitted with mechanical thermostats. 26954_Siemens Heater Broch 1/30/04 4:54 PM Page 4 Electrical Connections An 1800mm length of flex cable with 3-pin plug is included as standard on models up to 2000 watts. Larger models will need to be installed by an electrician. Unit can be connected to an external timer switch for economy and convenience. Front – Facing Skirting Heater A new and innovative convector heater designed for both domestic and commercial use. The unique digital electronic thermostat with drift compensation ensures a very stable room temperature. A red LED is lit when the heating element is energized. Front – Facing Grill The front facing grill minimises wall staining, while maximising heat distribution into the room. Element An exclusive metal filament element incorporating large airflow design results in quick response action incorporating natural airflow resulting in quiet operation. Construction Long life anti-corrosion treated steel frame with wall bracket mount included. For easy cleaning, the heater unit will pivot away from the wall to give access to rear. Design is drip-proof and suitable for bathroom use. The design of the back plate and the air outlet grill in the front plate ensures a good distribution of heat in the room and reduces to a minimum the heat losses through the walls and windows. All heaters are equipped with a double pole On/off switch and an overheat protection. 26954_Siemens Heater Broch 1/30/04 4:53 PM Page 1 Siemens Wall–Mounted Natural Convector Heaters COMPACT PANEL Model Watts Area Covered Length/Height SIE2NC2907 750 Watt 7.00 Metre2 376mm x 425mm 2 SIE2NC2910 1000 Watt 10.00 Metre 466mm x 425mm SIE2NC2912 1250 Watt 12.00 Metre2 556mm x 452mm SIE2NC2915 1500 Watt 2 15.00 Metre 646mm x 425mm SIE2NC2920 2000 Watt 20.00 Metre2 826mm x 425mm *SIE2NC2925 2500 Watt 2 25.00 Metre 1006mm x 425mm *SIE2NC2930 3000 Watt 30.00 Metre2 1186mm x 425mm SKIRTING HEATER Model Watts Area Covered Length/Height SIE2NC2931 1000 Watt 10.00 Metre2 1275mm x 200mm SIE2NC2932 1200 Watt 2 12.00 Metre 1545mm x 200mm SIE2NC2933 1500 Watt 15.00 Metre2 1725mm x 200mm Easy Installation Just use the template on the carton. Mark out screw positions and screw the mounting brackets to the wall. The heater simply clips on to the brackets. Please note: * The Siemens 2925 and 2930 heater will require a 15amp power point. What makes it so efficient? How does it save money? PAP Heating Solutions is the Australian importer for Siemens Electrical Heating. 23 Winchcombe Court, Mitchell, ACT 2911 Ph: (02) 6242 9310 www.papheatingsolutions.com.au The Siemens convector heater samples the air temperature every 40 seconds. It has a new design electronic thermostat with rapid cycling so the element is only energised for short periods. This drastically reduces operation time resulting in significant saving in energy consumption. It also has an exclusive metal filament element, incorporating a large airflow but still distributing the heat across the room. There is no fan running all the time, no noise and it is much cleaner and healthier.
