TPC PLANETARY CUTTER SERIES
HIGH-SPEED PLANETARY CUTTING Conair TPC Planetary Cutters offer an excellent tube cutting solution on a precision servo traveling table. The blade rotates around the tubular extrusion to facilitate clean, square cuts, without the distortion that can occur with other cutting machines. The TPC Series Planetary Cutters are available with different cutting capacities of 0.625, 2.5, 5, and 8 inches {15.9, 63.5, 127.0, 203.2 mm} to suit your specific needs. The standard planetary cutter orientation is right-to-left, but left-to-right orientation cutters are available.
Model TPC-5
TPC Planetary Cutters are designed so that your process does not need to slow down or stop during operation. A clamping system and servo table are used to cut the tube in a static condition without effecting the process.
AVOID CUTTING DEBRIS, DISTORTION, AND BURRS Conair’s TPC Planetary Cutters allow for on-line cutting of materials that tend to cause cutting problems. The cutter displaces material which virtually eliminates debris while creating a clean square cut without distorting the tube or pipe. A servo motor is used to facilitate velocity profile changes to modify the speed of rotation and the cut quality. The TPC has been engineered to allow quick blade change without having to remove product from the machine. This forethought eliminates the need to start the line from strach any time a blade needs replaced. Clear polycarbonate is used for as guarding for the enclosure. This allows for full observation of the cutting process.
■
Cut tubular extrusions without distortion or swarf Difficult to cut materials such as styrene, PET, HIPS, PC, etc. can now be cut accurately. Other cutters and saws are unable to cut tubular extrusions without distorting the product, and often create a cut that is not square and uniform with particulate generation.
■
Eliminate secondary trimming, deburring operations The TPC, with its planetary cutting action, displaces material for a clean and precise cut, eliminating the need for trimming, deburring or blowing off.
■
Reduced machine maintenance A heavy-duty precision linear system provides smooth and consistent table top movement with commercially available components.
■
Precision cut lengths Standard servo table travel with planetary reducers and a heavy-duty timing belt eliminates costly secondary operations, offers extreme cut-to-length repeatability.
■
Easy to navigate touch screen Front-mounted touch screen control allows you to start and stop the cutter, adjust table travel velocity, blade velocity profiles, and scale factors. all while utilizing storable recipies.
