High Temperature Series Nickel-Metal Hydride VHT F Saft Ni-MH VHT F has been specially designed to fit the power back-up and renewable energy applications (as photovoltaic) requirements. The VHT allows to operate until + 55°C and offer an extended life time (4 years at an average temperature of + 50°C and until 15 years at + 20°C depending on usage profile). The VHT is designed to accept low current permanent charge (down to C/100) or intermittent charge at very high temperature (up to + 60°C). It can also accept very large numbers of cycles and can be fast charged until 3A (charge termination required). To meet customers’ requirements, Saft provides custom-designed and standardized battery packs. For your battery design and system needs, please contact Saft’s engineers. Applications • Telecommunication back-up systems • Emergency lighting • Security devices • Renewable energy storage • Professional electronics Main advantages • Excellent charge efficiency at high temperatures • Permanent charge at low current (C/100) • Intermittent charge • Long life duration • High number of discharge cycles • Superior storage ability Technology • Foam positive electrode • Metal-hydride negative electrode Electrical characteristics Nominal voltage (V) 1.2 Typical capacity (mAh)* 11000 IEC minimum capacity (mAh)* 10000 IEC designation HRMT 33/91 Impedance at 1000 Hz (mΩ) 5 * Charge 16 h at C/10, discharge at C/5.
