The air conditioner will start cooling down to 22°C (71.6°F) once again,using its default settings,with the fan on automatic mode. B. Press the red ON/OFF button . If at starting time outdoor temperature is equal or lower than -10°C (14°F) the unit will not start and the filter led will flash five (5) times to indicate that low temperature protection is activated. 6 421 02 9217 00 Selecting fan speed and air conditioning modes Important During any programming process, if next step is not selected for over 10 seconds, the remote will exit from programming back to previous settings. SEL SE SEL SE Changing the fan mode SEL SE There are 4 fan speed modes: Low speed Medium speed High speed SEL I FEEL TIMER CLEAR and Automatic speed (the blades spin) ECONOMY SWEEP TURBO-JET DELAY Open the flap door of the remote control. the fan symbol start blinking.  Press the SEL button With every press of the SEL . SEL button the fan's speed will change and SEL the air conditioner will beep: Low speed Pull to open the flap door, the fan symbol start blinking Medium speed High speed Automatic speed ( ). Once you close the flap the selected symbol will stop blinking. Changing the air conditioner operation mode Cooling Mode (snowflake symbol) - The air conditioner will cool according to the set temperature, while drying and filtering the room air. Fan Mode (fan symbol) - The air conditioner circulates and filters the air, without changing room temperature. Heating Mode (sun symbol) - The air conditioner heats according to the set temperature and filters the room air. ECONOMY The operational modes appear in a single line on the remote control’s display TURBO-JET Dehumidify Mode (drop symbol) - The air conditioner dries and filters the room air, while cooling it slightly. Automatic Mode (the letter ) - The air conditioner heats or cools the room air, according to the selected set temperature: If the room is colder than the desired temperature - the air conditioner will automatically change to heat mode. If the room is warmer than the desired temperature - the air conditioner will automatically change to cool mode. See further explanation in Automatic section ( ) on page 9. One of the operating modes blinks. For example - ❶ heating mode blinks. SEL I FEEL TIMER CLEAR SWEEP ❷ Press right or left DELAY buttons to select the desired operating mode. SEL ❷ ❸ When you have selected the desired mode, press the SEL TIMER CLEAR I FEEL SWEEP DELAY SEL button to select that mode. SEL TIMER CLEAR ❸ Close the Flap door. SWEEP I FEEL DELAY Note: You can select the operating mode on the remote control even if the air conditioner is not currently on. Later, switch the airconditioner on by pressing the on/off button and the air conditioner will function according to the mode you selected. If you did not press any buttons or make any selections for ten (10) seconds, the fan symbol will blink again (the initial mode when you opened the flap). Once you open the flap, the remote control's display will show the last mode you were in. The fan symbol blinks. SEL SWEEP ❶ Press the minus sign button ECONOMY I FEEL TIMER CLEAR TURBO-JET DELAY once to go down to the clock symbol. The symbol blinks. 1 Start Sleep Daily SEL I FEEL TIMER CLEAR ❶ ❷ Press the SEL button SWEEP DELAY - mode selection. The hours and SEL minutes symbol blinks (- - - -). 1 Start Sleep Daily For quick time change Pressing the plus sign button or the minus sign button continuously moves the clock forward or backward rapidly. SEL ❷ I FEEL TIMER CLEAR SWEEP DELAY One press is one minute Pressing the plus sign button or the minus sign button only once moves the clock one minute forward or backward. Start 1 Sleep Daily For example, set the time to be 23:45. In this mode, the unit will operate at the selected temperature setting and will automatically select the required operation mode and fan speed to maintain this setting. When required, the unit will automatically switch between cooling, fan and heating modes. You have three (3) optional energy modes: 1. Auto mode- when using this mode, the control will automatically choose energy state (econo or full), according to room temperature and weather conditions. 2. Full capacity- when using this mode, the unit will work continuously in full capacity. 3. Econo mode- when using this mode, the unit will work continuously in half capacity. I Feel I FEEL once during unit's operation. Press the blue button SEL Below the "in house thermometer" symbol , I Feel will appear. TIMER CLEAR I FEEL SWEEP DELAY ELAY I FEEL To quit this feature, press the blue button I FEEL once again. ❶ If you wish to display room temperature on the remote: When the air conditioner is switched OFF Room temperature (near the remote control) is displayed continuously. SEL TIMER CLEAR SWEEP ECONOMY I FEEL TURBO-JET DELAY When the air conditioner is ON, I Feel Open the flap door ❶ ❷ Press the right button once. The HOUSE symbol will blink. Press the SEL SEL I FEEL TIMER CLEAR SWEEP SEL button - and the room temperature will be I Feel displayed on the remote control for ten (10) seconds. SEL TIMER CLEAR SWEEP 12 ❶ DELAY I FEEL ❷ DELAY 421 02 9217 00 Additional Functions: Adjusting air outlet grill - Sweep Mode Changing the horizontal louver's position  To change louver from fixed position to automatic sweep mode, open the flap door, SWEEP press the gray SWEEP button once. SEL TIMER CLEAR SWEEP  ECONOMY I FEEL TURBO-JET DELAY The SWEEP symbol will blink and change position continuously. The sweep louver on the air-conditioner will move up and down continuously. . To change the angle of the air louver: ❶ Open the flap door, SWEEP , press the sweep button 1 Start Sleep Daily wait until the symbol shows the desired angle, SEL SWEEP press the swep button again and close the flap door. I FEEL TIMER CLEAR SWEEP Changing the angle of the vertical louvers (left-right) is done by using the handles near the air-vent (see air-conditioner operating manual). DELAY ❶ °C Start 1 Sleep Daily SEL TIMER CLEAR SWEEP I FEEL DELAY ❶ Important information! SEL TIMER CLEAR For example: SWEEP ECONOMY I FEEL TURBO-JET DELAY The air conditioner is ON and you want to switch it OFF automatically in two hours time: Open the flap on the remote control. ❶ DELAY Press the DELAY button . °C The hours:minutes symbol will blink (- - : - -). You are at Stop 1 Start 1 Sleep Daily ❷ DELAY Press the DELAY button SEL TIMER CLEAR I FEEL SWEEP DELAY four times to program switching OFF ❶ in two hours time (02:00 on the display). If you made a mistake, never mind! °C Just repeat the procedure once again and correct it. DELAY , you will add thirty (30) Every time you press the DELAY button Start minutes to the delayed operation time frame. You can also change the delayed or minus operation time using the buttons. SEL TIMER CLEAR I FEEL SWEEP ❸ 1 Sleep Daily DELAY x4 ❷ When the mode you desire blinks, press the SEL button and close the flap on the remote control. SEL On the display, instead of the regular clock, you will see a timer that shows how much time remains before switching OFF. This timer is updated every minute. The timer shows - 02:00 Stop 1. (Switching OFF in two hours). SEL I FEEL TIMER CLEAR  To cancel any delay settings, start or stop, just push the red on/off button once. SWEEP DELAY ❸ If the air conditioner is currently OFF you can delay the switch ON time - Start 1 will appear. If the air conditioner is currently ON you can delay the switch OFF time - Stop 1 will appear. 1 Stop In order to know the current time, open the flap, press the minus button Timer instead of the clock and you will see the time blinking. Additional 'sleep time' zone are also available. Very Important! To make sure this function operates properly you must set the clock to the current real time. A few examples: You can program the air conditioner to switch ON automatically in 3 hours and switch OFF 4 hours afterwards. You can program the air conditioner to switch ON at 08:00 and switch itself OFF at 10:30, and later, it will switch ON again at 13:00 and OFF again at 17:30. You can program the air conditioner to switch ON every day at 08:30 in the morning. You can program the air conditioner to gradually decrease cooling temperature during the night, starting at 22:00. ❶ ❷ To start timer settings : open flap door and press the minus button . 1 Start The clock starts blinking. Sleep Daily SEL Press the right button . The programming row blinks and Start 1 will appear. I FEEL TIMER CLEAR SWEEP ❶ DELAY If any of the time zones was pre-programmed, the clock will show the pre-programmed time. If you wish to keep the pre-programmed time as is and continue searching through the time periods Each push on SEL button SEL , will take you to the next programming time. 1 Start Sleep Daily c Important - The clock is active but not shown during the setting of the timer. SEL ❷ I FEEL TIMER CLEAR SWEEP DELAY If you want to set or change the time which is currently displayed ❸ Use the plus / minus button, until your desired real time is selected. For example: The first press of the plus button shows 0:10. Therefore, the air conditioner will switch itself ON ten (10) minutes after midnight. Once you close the flap door, the timer will show you how long before the air conditioner will switch itself ON. Start 1 Sleep Daily ❸ SEL If you chose 00:10 as the first start time. I FEEL TIMER CLEAR SWEEP ❹ Press the SEL button SEL DELAY - and close the flap door. The air conditioner will start automatically at 00:10. Start Pay attention: Every time you press the SEL button SEL , you move on to the next 1 Sleep Daily time period. SEL I FEEL TIMER CLEAR If you made a mistake, never mind! Press the minus sign button The clock starts blinking. Press the right button . The programming row starts blinking and 'Start 1' appears.  Program the switch ON time using the and  Press the right button twice. The word DAILY blinks. The word DAILY indicates buttons. that all the time periods you chose or will choose are set daily. Press the SEL button SEL in order to set the start time. Every press of this button moves you to the next time period. Continue and program, if needed, the second time period Start2/Stop2 and the third period Start3/ Stop3 till you finish programming all the Start/ Stop time periods you want.  Press the SEL button SEL in order to program daily automatic switching ON (including Sleep) Once you close the flap door on the remote control the DAILY symbol will appear, which is active for all time periods (including Sleep). Pay attention: Once you close the flap door, the timer will appear and will show the time left to next start/stop programmed session. SEL TIMER CLEAR SWEEP I FEEL DELAY Pay attention: If at the time of selection, the air conditioner has already been in the programmed time, the remote control will skip the action you choose. If you wish to cancel all the time periods you programmed: TIMER CLEAR Press the TIMER CLEAR button 16 continuously for 5 seconds - this cancels a time period. 421 02 9217 00 Additional functions: Detailed explanation for Sleep Mode settings Sleep mode routine - what is it? If the air conditioner is cooling, the temperature will rise by one (1) degree per hour, or maximum two (2) degrees from the original set temperature selected. If the air conditioner is heating, the temperature will drop be one (1) degree per hour, for maximum two (2) degrees from the original set temperature selected. If you want Sleep mode to operate every day: (Daily feature) If you want Sleep mode to operate only once:  Press the minus sign button If DAILY has already been selected, stop here. If DAILY has not been selected, perform all the actions in the single Sleep mode operation (Follow the arrow) . The clock starts blinking.  Press the right button twice. The programming row starts blinking and 'Start 1' appears.  In this state the FAN symbol blinks Press the SEL button SEL in order to select  a switch ON time.  and  Press the SEL button SEL buttons.    Press the SEL button and SEL three (3) times. Press the SEL button SEL in order to set automatic, daily switching ON time of the air conditioner, according to the time you set for Sleep mode. The Stop time is activated. Program the switch OFF time using the Press the right button The word DAILY starts blinking. in order to set the switch ON time and to move to the switch OFF time.  . The clock starts blinking. The Start time is activated. Program the switch ON time using the Press the minus button buttons. Once you close the flap door on the remote control, the Daily and Sleep symbols will appear each time the time period is active. in order to set the switch OFF time. Battery installation ✓ Remove the battery compartment cover by sliding it off. ✓ Insert two Alkaline AAA 1.5V batteries into the battery compartment, making sure to follow the polarity markings inside the battery compartment. ✓ Replace battery compartment cover. ✓ Replace batteries whenever 'Low Battery' indicator appears. Important After battery replacement, all last settings are re-gained, except timer programming, which might not be saved. 421 02 9217 00 °C 17 Technician related functions For a technician or an experienced user The air conditioner has additional options that can be reached using simultaneous pressing of two buttons: When there are two air conditioners with two separate remote controllers installed in the same room, you might want to change the frequency on one of the remote to differentiate the control between the units. Cleaning Air Filters ✓ After approximately 250 hours of operation (about a month), you need to remove and clean the filters. ✓ Please note: In a very dusty environment, the filters should be cleaned more often. ✓ After removing the filters: vacuum out the dust, wash them with warm soapy water, dry and put them back in place.
