The new remote-controlled PD3N permits all important settings to be made remotely
Comfortably, easily from the ground Saving energy is now even easier with the new PD3N motion detector. Additional manual settings may now also be made with the optionally available IR-PD3N remote control. The compact design houses the control and power units in a single casing. The PD3N is available for surface, flush and ceiling installation. The high-performance relay is also able to control even powerful lamps. Its special optical system allows the detector to sense the slightest of movements. More than 50 % of costs to be saved at, among other things, companies, public authorities, schools and even in private homes by turning the lighting on only when needed.

Settings may be made directly on the unit thus allowing the product to be employed in the best way possible
New generation optimised The new generation of PDx-M-1C/-2C single- and double-channel occupancy detectors with new processor comes with additional DIP switches to complement the potentiometer. All fundamental settings can now be made directly on the unit. Additional functions may also be utilised with the standard slave and button connection terminal. The current operating status is indicated by an additional third LED (white). The previous functions remain unchanged.
Comfort, however, has been enhanced with such additional features as absence mode and corridor- and twilight-switch functions. The detector may also be perfectly adapted to the place of installation using the new detection-sensitivity setting. The full range of functions may be utilised with the new optional IR-PD-1C and IR-PD-2C remote controls.

Cleverly retrofitting with our SMARTHOME programme without intervention into room structures
Cleverly retrofitting with SMARTHOME
Significant interventions into room structures are not always desirable when installing house and building automation systems at a later point in time. Solutions based on radio-controlled and Powerline components among others provide advantages here. SMARTHOME has been designed as an all-round solution for later installation in residential buildings and smaller functional buildings. The radio-controlled and Powerline components make installing additional cabling no longer necessary. The SMARTHOME radio-controlled system operates at a bandwidth of 868 MHz which recognised

for its reliability. The radio signal’s range in buildings is typically around 20 metres but may be extended with the help of repeaters. Powerline actuators may be used to control loads located further away and in awkward places. Here, gateways can be used to connect the components through the power network to the radio system. The radio and Powerline components operate bidirectionally.

A central visualisation and operating unit – MyControl – is available that can be used both as a fixed installation or portable system. The unit’s touch-screen may be used for programming, for monitoring smoke detectors and for checking energy requirements. Data can be stored on SD cards. Mobile-phone GSM connections may also be used to control and monitor the system.

Our occupancy detectors support the plan to protect the environment
A green concept The power consumed by lighting depends on many factors. These include how long the lights are switched on for, the amount of daylight in the room and suitable manual or automatic lamp controls. The use of occupancy detectors that are able to integrate daylight into the overall lighting can constitute a solution. Occupancy detectors can make a significant contribution to potential energy-saving both in light management as well as in building control technology. Occupancy detectors are designed to recognise moving sources of heat entering their fields of detection and thus respond to even the slightest of movements.
They also continuously assess the amount of daylight entering the room and switch off the lamps when they are no longer required. Occupancy detectors are particularly effective in locations that are occupied for extended periods of time, for example, offices and classrooms. When necessary, occupancy detectors are also able to control heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems and thus help save even more energy. The successful RC-plus next series in KNX
A KNX detector that can do more RC-plus next 230 KNX/EIB / white Art.No.: 97052
The RC-plus next 230 KNX/EIB is a compact outdoor motion detector for automating buildings that is convincing both in its design and its many functions. With its range of up to 20 metres, it allows large areas to be reliably monitored. The range may also be perfectly adapted to the particular location by mechanically adjusting the motion sensors. The benefits provided by Version 4.0 of the occupancy detector application make an effective contribution to reducing energy consumptions. For instance, lamps are switched off when sufficient ambient lighting is available even when movements are detected.
The occupancy monitor controls heating, air-conditioning and ventilation settings through brightness-independent switching channels. Target values may be changed during operation by the end user, e.g. using a KNX switch. It is even possible to gently turn up the lights using the soft-start function. B.E.G.’s KNX-products are always supplied with an internal BUS coupler !
Lighting may be perfectly controlled using the 230° motion sensor and two control channels or the switch output. Separate delayed switch-off times may be set for each channel to meet requirements to the second exactly.

LC-Click-N The new LC-Click-N is now available. The new model is based on the popular LC-Click outdoor motion detector. The unit has been re-engineered to optimise its technical details. The bottom of the detector has now also been made sensitive to prevent people crawling underneath it – which means that all-round detection is possible.
