Operation Programming the Remote Buttons Is a Simple Procedure
Resetting One Key to Default Setting When a new codeis programmedinto the remote,it overwritesthe previouscodefor that button on that page. However,shouldyou makea mistake,it is possibleto resetany button to its factory default using the following procedure:
Step 1: Placethe HK 3470 remote controland the remotecontrol for the otherdevice(eg,r compactdiscplayer)so that their inflared transmitterwindowsface eachother at a distanceof about one-halfinch Step 2: Simultaneouslypressthe Learn button and the Source Selector (_ that correspondsto the devicewhose codesyou are trying to program(eg,, pressthe CDbutton along with the Learnbutton).TheLED Indicator @ will blink onceand remainlit

Operation Memory Backup This productis equippedwith a memorybackup systemthat preservestuner presetsand system configurationinformationif the unit is accidentally unpluggedor subjectedto a power outage,Theunit'smemoryisstoredin an EEPROM, and thus the HK3470 will retain information suchas programmedpresetswithout being connectedto a mainpower sourcevirtually
Processor Reset In the rarecasewhere the unit's operationor the displaysseemabnormal,the causemay involvethe erraticoperationof the system's memoryor microprocessor
]o correctthis problem,first unplug the unit from the AC wall outlet and wait at leastthree minutes After the pause,reconnectthe AC power cord andcheckthe unit's operation If the systemstill malfunctions,a systemreset may dear the problem,
TheMain InformationDisplaywill brieflyshow the word RESETr and then returnto normal operation Note that when the systemis reset in this fashiOnraMtunerpresetswill be lost and mustbe reentered
